I remember when those were brand new. I used to go to dealer and wish i had one. I always loved the color graphics on the mid 90's polaris atv's. There sleds too...

Mid to late 90s is polaris pinnacle. I used to do the same every year right when the new sleds/atvs were out. The dealership was a 5 min bike ride from my parents so i was there alot. They probably got sick of me 😂

I had a MINT 400 scrambler 4x4 I bought from original owner for 1200 bucks. It was like brand spanking new. I rode it awhile and guy offered me 2500 for it and I sold it. Doubled my money. But boy i regret selling it. That 2 stroke was a blast ! It was red and white like yours

I have a 1994 400L which is essentially the same bike as the 4x4 Scramblers, it sat for 10 years after being abused for 15 years, so you can just imagine what sort of condition it's in. It's sitting in pieces in my garage, i don't even want to touch it fml. Lol

My brother had a used ‘95 Scrambler back in the 90’s. He used to call it Johnny 5. Aside from the belt drive and 4WD system making it go much better through mud and snow it was terrible compared to our Wolverines. Weird handling, awkward ergos, very poor build quality and components, stupid chain drive and unreliable. That quad soured us on Polaris summer machines for over 20 years. I always thought it was bizarre that the motor and transmission were separate units. It had pretty decent power and was fun to ride in the snow when drifting around but the chassis was so awkward and the idiotic single brake lever system just took away a lot of fun compared to the normal Japanese quads. Seeing that awful wiring block and harness brings back some memories. I remember my buddy telling me the frame looked like lawn and garden technology. It’s a good thing that Polaris has improved so much since then. It was weird that the same company that built such great snowmachines produced such poor quality ATVs at the time.

That Alaska Guy about 10 years ago I owned a 4x4 400 scrambler. I actually had really good luck with it. The only issue I ever had was the oil injection, it cost me two top ends before I realized that was the issue. Ran premix in it after that and never had a problem. This scrambler however has had a rough life. I can tell it’s been reframed before, working is a disaster, swing arm is cracked all over.... but, being a 2wd it is a simple wheeler, and I’ll get the problems with it ironed out over time. These wheelers are definitely a love hate relationship for some people though.

Crazy question. I have a 95 400 sport. Bought it as a motor and chassis (no plastics). They would be the old school ugly ones, any idea if the newer scrambler/trailblazer plastics would fit?

Hey I just purchased one today, but the battery died in a couple hours, should it charge on its own or do I have to charge it ?
@AKproXR3 жыл бұрын
Should charge on its own. Charge battery. Test with meter while not running, start wheeler and put meter on battery again. It should show more volts at battery while running. If not, likely have a bad stator or wiring issue.
