Well done, Sarah! Loving your docos!!! Especially this one: barefoot up Mount Beerwah. I live in South Oz, but that part of Queensland is our favourite place on the planet. Used to stay lots at Maleny & Montville. Once, while checking Wappa Falls, some kids were swimming in a pool at the top of the falls & then swam through cave system into a lower pool. They invited me to join them. I declined. Queenslanders seem to have much more intestinal fortitude than this old Beach Bum. I once summoned up the courage to climb Mount Ive, in the Gawler Ranges in the desert, NW of Adelaide. The way to the summit was barred by a series of off-set organ-pipe rock formations. I was totally unnerved by the time we reached the summit...

Great video Sarah! You were smart to err on the side of caution with that washed out road. Impressed that you chose to go barefoot to climb that hilltop! You are a true pioneer woman! Always amazed at the different and unique geographies that make up Australia. Cheers!

Really smart decision to call it a day and come back when you feel more confident and with friends - it’s just nice watching a vid that isn’t fuelled by ego - something fairly common in the 4WD vids that pop up in my feed unfortunately. Great vid, thanks

Your videos are put together really professionally. The pacing, video quality and especially the drone footage is a joy to watch. The only thing missing IMHO would be some maps showing where exactly you went. I am hoping to climb Beerwah soon with my daughter. I think it takes the longest of all the Glasshouse Mountains.

I used to be able too see the mountains from my house that I used to live in which was Narangba. That Bulimba Creek looks amazing must go and check it out next time I get back to my second home which is Brisbane living in Auckland at the moment. So looking forward to seeing you again on your next adventure

Thanks for the video Sarah. Your video was missed last week. Hope the zuke is fixed. Seen the glasshouses from afar a few times. Food and hiking go together, just don’t forget the water as well. Many off roaders don’t realise it’s always wise to back out of difficult spots when you are solo, it’s a long walk home. It’s helpful to do a reputable 4wd training course with a group before heading out, it will give confidence at the same time, scare the shxt out of you when it’s seen what your vehicle can do. Thanks again.

Hi Sarah, another great video beautiful scenery,have not been to Glasshouse Mountains but have seen them from a distance when on a bus trip to North Queensland some years ago when backpacking.How are you going with the repairs are you still waiting for parts?Might be a good time to think about a bullbar instead of a plastic bumper bar a bullbar has saved me damage on a couple of occasions with both my Sierra and my Vitara with roo strikes.Keep up the good work look forward to the next one Regards Graeme W

Another spectacular video. Stunning mountains and view. Glad you made it to the top. It is always great to conquer life's challenges. That was quite a scramble to the top. I have to ask about your drone. Is that a DJI brand drone? I started out with a cheap drone so if I wrecked it it wouldn't be so bad. I am hoping to upgrade soon so when the snow melts I can get out and do some exploring with it. Thanks for sharing, I enjoyed watching!

Gday there Sarah, Nice little area that, Have you been to Queen Mary Falls out past Boonah, I think there are 14/15 river crossings that Jimney can easliy cross, I am thinking of doing a camp up at the falls with the wife lady, plenty of parrots and a great little bush walk around the falls. The drone you have is it a DJI Drone, looking at getting one soon for my Channel, I just did buy some trail cams for night time so I can catch the things that go "BUMP" in the night, animal life so the drone will wait a bit. Great video as ususal, CYA later and keep it real Cheers

Wildlife and great snorkelling out the front when the dirty water from the floods is not present. And also a great beach to go 4WDing with easy access for Jimney. Be safe and Keep it real

Hi Sarah, Great video as usual. Can I ask what the camera you are using whilst walking along as I have a Gopro Hero 11 and Samsung S21 Ultra but cannot seem to get rid of the up/down walking motion when playing back the video. I use stabilisation on my editor but I just cannot seem to get rid of the up/down motion. Any tips? Stay safe and enjoy your travels.

If there was more room at the top you could have launched a hand glider and flown down to the bottom recording video as you dropped in elevation but then how to carry a hand glider up there ? As it was a scarmble for you.

Gorgeous video but I have one question...what's the rationale behind the barefoot climbing???
@sarahrosefoster8 ай бұрын
Thank you! It honestly helps so much with feeling more in control of foot placement. I think if you had proper hiking shoes you’d be fine maybe but most of my shoes have no grip so knowing where to place your feet on a sheer climb / slippery rock is a lot harder with them on.

Just a little point, drones can be very dangerous, best to launch at arm's length away from your face, if the drone were to drift back at the present time you are looking at chest, neck, head injuries. Take care. 🙏
