@@AI-Idiot Source? We may think the speed of light is the fps, however we can go past it. Maybe you're refrencing the myth of "the human eye can only see at 60 fps", which just isn't true. You can prove it flase just by seeing the differnce of 60 to >60fps monitors.

Straightening your "facts": That is not a turboprop engine in the video. That is either a turbofan engine or a jet engine. What's more, the flying barrel did not use turboprop engine. It had just a regular run-of-the-mill piston powered aircraft engine that had been arranged in similar fashion as turbofan engine. The flying barrel has been considered to be an inspiration for the turbofan engine, but it is the first in literally nothing technology-wise.

I think modpack number logic could do it very easily with few parts..but vanilla? You can't measure in between ticks, so how to measure more than 40 fps? It must be a very specifically built array of sensors where you can guess which ones are active based on a speed you know, so if "that one" is on, after "the previous one" was on, when the engine is "this speed", then you can infer what the frame rate was, based on how many sensors were skipped in between measurements I might give it a try myself with mods, sounds fun

Hi, creator of that cannon here! If it was possible to get those modded parts in survival then it would be a pretty OP (and super satisfying) base defence. It is possible to make it track bots so a few of these bad boys should be able to clear out every hostile mob in ~3000 block radius.

@@gameknight.thump1 I will be writing my final exams this week so it might get delayed but an artillery truck with the tech from the video will be published soon! Tracking unmarked creations is unfortunately impossible, but you can track players that use them (trackers are the best imo, can be placed on any blueprint) It does not take movement into account, the bullet will land wherever the target was at the moment of firing. Moving targets are extremely tricky as there are a lot of variables to consider and assumptions to make. I would say that it increases the amount of math needed tenfolds. I gave It a try on paper (I always work on paper, then build the final product in the game) and didn’t manage to get far enough through the maze of nonlinear equations to make it usable. It is still a potential future project.
