You need thrusters on the elevators (back-wings) and remove the unnecessary wheels at the back so the wheels under the wing are a pivot point. Pointing the elevator down will push the front up, and the engines will point in the same direction, pushing it up. A)Whoever told you about the ailerons didn't tell you about the other control surface needed to *get the plane off the ground*, or B) the picture of the plane you were looking at was taken seconds before disaster.

Attention people saying that the thrusters need to point down to help push the nose up: Yes this would be true if the game had proper aerodynamics, but it does not. There is no air, no aerodynamics, and no conventional lift in this game. Trust me, I already tried the other way. Having the thrusters point down just pushed the plane into the ground.

How about you place all those thrusters on the inside of the plane, maybe on the ceiling. That way, you wouldn't be able to see them while flying and so the whole vehicle would look a bit more realistic.

you can turn using wheels if your in the air wheels physically turn air vehicles

You need to make the back thrusters point up, not down. If you make them point up, it will push the back of the plane down, which will in turn force the nose up. This would let you get rid of those thrusters on the front, making it look more like a plane. If you were to do that though, you would need to remove the back wheel and move the centre landing gears back a bit.

Ctop I know there's no air in the game, but it still works. Once the nose is pitched up, straighten the thrusters and the plane will lift off the ground. I managed to get it working myself, although I guess with a plane of your scale it might be a bit different! xD

aileron's are the flaps towards the middle of the plane, elevators are the ones on the tail, and the rudder is the one pointed straight up at the tail. great vids by the way.

Here's how you can rotate your gargantuan builds (in this case, your freakin awesome bus plane!): 1. Lift your build off the ground using lift 2. Attach a bearing under the center of your build 3. Stick the bearing with a pole (concrete blocks or whatever) all the way to the ground. It'll be like making a stand for your gargantuan build, yknow what i mean? Do make sure the pole is thick so it can hold your build. 4. Set up the bearing to 180 degrees 5. Dismantle the lift and use your switch to rotate your gargantuan builds And there. Hope it helps

Maybe for your front and rear wheels, you can use a design like the ones on your wings, then have the front and rear wheels turn to give you better turning. That should also allow you to turn them with just the chair.

man, from my experience at ksp I'm gonna lett you know that the while you got in the back is stopping you from lifting, couse every time you try to tip your nose the back while doesn't allow it, you can't have whiles behind the point of trust

Those are called ailerons, the ones on the back are called elevators and the fin one is called the rudder. Flaps are used to make drag when landing,so you got that part right.

flaps aren't used to slow the plane down, though it happens that way. Flaps are used to create lift so that 1.) During takeoff, you takeoff quicker and 2.) During landing, you can fly slower with sufficient amount of lift so you won't fall out of the sky going at slower speeds.

Flaps create drag and lift. they usually have a few position and are used at take off for lift and at landing for lift and drag.ailerons or control surfaces are what you use for control

You should take off the rear wheel and move the wing wheels as far back as possible. Most planes have one front set and a set in each wing. That will help with turning the plane when it is on the ground.

Lol, I like you're giant bird and you could get it to fly without just adding more thrusters if you use normal control surfaces. BTW take the rear wheel off its stopping the plane rotating and developing lift and put the Main Wheels on the centre of gravity. I'd like to build this plane but with retractable undercarriage, could waste days on it lol.

With this game you can't tackle the problems of flight like you normally would as half of the elements are missing. Normally, flight is a balancing act between gravity, lift, thrust, and drag. This game only has thrust and gravity. This makes thrust the only tool you have.
