Not only is the sculpture incredible, the composition and editing of the video is first rate. Watching the rooster take form was like staring at the clouds and gradually seeing pictures in the shapes. A pile of miscellaneous scrap metal transforms into something so real I could almost hear it crow! You have an amazing talent.

There is something very special about your artwork done with scraps. It's both of a piece and of its pieces. When you look at it, the first impression is of the whole and you know it's a rooster, but then you start looking at the parts and thinking about what they used to be and do. It carries this complex history with it in a very special way that you wouldn't get with using new materials. It's beautiful on multiple levels. Thanks for sharing.

Josh, I so much enjoyed watching you build the rooster from scrap metal and odds & ends that you had lying around!! I used to have a neighbor that had a machine shop on his property where he conducted his business out of. He had a lot of pent up energy & could never sit idle for any length of time. He would only give in late at night to watch TV! I noticed that he had a lot of little critters around his shop & yard! I asked him about them and he proudly opened a couple of doors to what I thought was a closet and it was a room with horses, dragons, a huge eagle and several other large animals including a bear!!! I was really impressed but saddened he had never shared them with anyone until me! It was finally taken out of the shop & spread out the sculptures on his property.They were made from scrao metal, car parts, large commercial machinery and even hubcaps! He got a few complaints because of the glare which he promptly fixed! I couldn't believe how quickly the viewers went from hundreds to thousands including the offers to buy. After a couple of years & a stroke he sold pretty much all that he had! I loved the rooster you did & wanted to share this with you! I love all the things that you make & can only hope that I can buy a print or something of yours. I have been following you faithfully since the first day I saw you helping on the Potter home! I find you to be truly inspiring! I like that you aren't afraid to try something new and learn by trial and error I really liked the painting of the 1ndian chief. Being disabled I am limited to the activities I do but you have given me a new reason to go back to some of my unfinished projects so I Thank you from the bottom of my heart!!!

This is proof that "one man's trash is another man's art supplies" I saw a little of what you were up to on your earlier vlog, glad to see the whole process and the finished result. I have to admit I said, "Josh, where are your welding gloves?" when I saw you doing it barehanded, but I know the gloves are rather unwieldy. It's lovely to have this window into the life of an artist and maker so multifaceted, hardworking yet easygoing, such as yourself. I don't think you realize how much you inspire others to pursue their crafts. I would be interested at some point to see what shop safety systems you use. Fire suppression is the first one that springs to mind. (I do nag Alex as well about minor things, like using respiration protection, replacing hightop Converse canvas sneakers with heavy steel toed boots when walking through piles of rusted metal and broken glass in old dump sites. )

This Video was good for my Soul! Beautiful creations, sculpture and Video! I just spent two weekends trying to help my Son, who suffers from a cognitive & physical disability, make a computer case out of Acrylic Glass from a design locked in his mind. I think this kind of creating would speak to him....guess it's time we learn to use the Welder he purchased a few years ago lol (wood building is Mom's forte)! Thank you for the motivation Josh!
