It started where all things start. Funky basslines and siren samples I found on Pixabay (not sponsored). From there, I just decided I wanted to make something that wouldn’t be out of place in a subway area of a fighting game. Everything music wise just worked. Now ART WISE, that’s where the REAL story is!
I then proceeded to write half of a lengthy paragraph that I intended to be many. Thankfully, hindsight kicked in before I wrote a whole awful lot. It’s just not interesting enough to harp on like I wanted to. Good, yes, but I can only over-emphasis everything so much. So, the cliff notes version:
I’ve only been on one subway in my entire life.

86 Mix is a substitute title for an inside joke among my friends when one of us combined every soda available in a restaurant. According to them: “Don’t do that.”
Graffiti is art. However, graffiti as an act of vandalism is a crime. Also, no, HKI isn’t a real artist to my knowledge.
I spent, quite frankly, too long making sure EVERY SINGLE PIXEL was where it was supposed to be.
Was going for a Street Fighter aesthetic (in the art), ended up with Streets of Rage 2. I’m not complaining; I like Streets of Rage 2. The song kinda fits both styles. Maybe even a little bit of Sonic CD.
Yes I do notice that this sounds a little like Tubular Trash Zone from Pizza Tower.
