Many ways to skin the quilt cat. I would deconstruct this a bit and make the pinwheels first, and then set them on point with the variable triangles--of course fashioning the pinwheel to a size that would optimize the use of your corner setting triangles. (Not a critique in the least; but simply a preference.). Now the beauty of 'on point' anything is that you can can gain block real estate (size) without much effort. You quilt is delightful in every respect. Happy New Year!

That’s a great idea and I’m always up for a little quilt math to optimize the fabric. Thanks for sharing Leisa👍🏼♥️😊🐥

I LOVE your videos! I watch videos on TV and am always glad to see when you have posted a new one. My favorite quilts are scrappy ones. I especially like this HST/pinwheel quilt! I foresee one of these in my future. I will have a new quilting/sewing room made in the next few months. I will have a large space for a display wall. Is the long strip made of wood that your display wall is attached to? Is your display wall made of flannel or something else? Thank you for sharing your quilting projects with us! (Doris Bishop)

Yeah, sometimes you just gotta cut loose and lighten up Crafty Thrifter! 😂🤣🐥 And that is exactly why I hung onto them for almost 2 years until I had this idea. I won't tell him you agree with him, his head might grow another size😜 Thanks for watching😊💙🐥

Love this idea and want to try it, but I think I missed how much white and aqua you used?
@sisterchicksquilting14 күн бұрын
Sorry I never really measured and you didn’t miss it, I just rough cut it and trimmed a bunch off. I would guess 1 1/2 yards each color.

Do you have this pattern it's beautiful

There isn't a pattern, it's all by putting the block together. MAke a quarter square triangle with different fabric and bingo. I was pleaantly surpirsed by the layout. Thankd for watching Lora😊💙🐤

Blessings to you in 2025!!!! I thought I could hop on my broom and swirl the snow away … not so much, as in tooooo much snow ..out comes the snow shovels in Regina, Saskatchewan.

You are so funny and you would definately be a good witch if you could swirl the snow away, lol. 😂🤣😂 Our snow has all melted and is hanging out in the mountains, it's very well behaved. TFW Denise 😊♥️🐥

@@sisterchicksquilting Our weather is definitely not well behaved…. The sun dogs foreshadowed of cold weather came true as it’s 30 below with an extreme cold warning.

Can the fat eight frenzy quilt be made with fat quarters? or just any material I have on hand. Would that be too hard? I am pretty much a beginner. Don't want to get too confused.
@sisterchicksquilting14 күн бұрын
Yes, the pattern is free and it tells you the size to cut. With FQ’s you could actually make it bigger because a fat eighth is half a FQ. Thanks for asking & watching Sharon😊♥️🐥

What was the fabric line you used for these two quilts? I like the color mix in this collection.

I wish I knew and it's out of print. It was a fat eighth bundle that I inherited from a friend who had it for years and years. My best guess is Moda something. Thanks for watching! 😊💙🐥

Thank you for not being perfect! I’ve had my share of time with the Ripper and it’s not my kind of tea! I did see the goof though. I have plenty of leftover HST and blocks from a quilt I’m hopefully making for our granddaughter before she graduates from high school - she’s 5-1/2 years old right now🫢🫢🫢 I have enough blocks to cut in half for more of the smaller triangles as you did plus blocks if I happened to make errors (very possible). Just need some of the white on white fabrics! Can’t wait to see what this quilt is going to look like!

I’m so glad it wasn’t Jack the Ripper you’ve spent time me with. 🤪😂😂. You’re right on schedule for a a HS graduation, l. Seriously I loved your comment, great sense of humor. Thanks for watching 😊♥️🐥
