Hi friends! Today I have an amazing trash to treasure for you! Isn't it funny how you can have stuff sitting around and think it is trash until one day something clicks and you think "I KNOW WHAT I COULD DO WITH THAT!!!"...well that is what happened with these pieces. I even pulled the larger piece of lumber out of the trash pile, thats how unexpected this project was for even me! lol The end result is something I have been seeing in stores like TJ Maxx and Homegoods, but couldn't bring myself to spend the money. Now I know why, I was meant to make my own.

My favorite is the birds on the silver candlestick!! Second is the bunny sign ! I love the blue color you used for the birds and the basket ! I decorate with lots of birds !! I sell on EBay but I may just get a booth when I move back to TX . Can't wait to go shopping at my favorite Goodwill !

Can't beat free!! I love those spindles so much. My daughters crib had similar spindles and was used by various neices and nephews over it's lifetime before someone realized it had been recalled for a safety hazard and was sent to the dump. Man I wish I had it now!!!

Desert DIY exactly!! My hubby already took 99%, and him and his work buddies already started creating bright garden decor for the nursing/retirement home he works in maintenance for. The residents love it!! That trash truly became a treasure for so many during this pandemic.

It is called a riser. It is used to give height to decor on a shelf or table. They are often used in vignettes of decor
