I remember that powells bus as it always used to run on school buses in my area. For those wondering it's reg is pf52 tgz. While operating in London it was HTL 11.

A worker told me that some of the Arriva buses were for sale. I'm guessing the MAN ALX300's went for scrap because nobody wants them and the Pointer 2's the same reason.

Not necessarily Laura. We don't know the full issues these buses have. It could be corroded under frames, worn out engine, poor interior, electrical problems etc These buses are assets. The company will get the best price for them. If they can sell them on to other operators as going concerns and get more money, they surely will. It's a simple question of economics. If you think you can outbid the Barnsley scrappers, just offer more money. You will be able to refurb the bus and sell it on to another operator at a profit if your assertion is correct. Or maybe sell on to bus preservation for a good price. The fact is, these buses are very worn out, even if they look good on the surface.
