Scrapbook Organization | Making Kits

In this video, I'm breaking down the "new" section of my papers. Whenever I buy single sheets of 12x12 pattern papers, I just group all the new papers together in a Cropper Hopper. Anytime I make a layout, I go to that section first. I'd much rather use new papers quickly!
Periodically though, I need to go through the stack and remove some of the older papers to make room for new supplies. And that's what I'm doing in this video.

Sure. I buy mostly online - scrapbook.com, acherryontop.com and scrapbookgeneration.com are my three favorite stores. Once a year, I do attend the Stamp and Scrapbook Expo. That's the one time I get to buy stuff in person!

I never thought about putting kits together like this. Do you mix and match the brands or just make kits from one collection? I’ve been putting new stuff away as soon as I get an order, but I like this idea of keeping newer papers separate and trying to use them first. I’ll have to think about how to add this in to what I do. TFS.

You're welcome! Yes, I do mix and match often when I'm making kits to create a layout. This exercise was just to clear out my new section so I made a few kit starters from just the pile in front of me. If I had more single papers from different collections, I would have tried to see if any of them worked together, but this time I didn't have many. When I match up photos to any of the kit starters, I will make a bigger kit with other papers and that's when I'll go looking through other mfgs for more papers to add.
