Well Maymay has done it again!!!!
She has taken quilt cards and stretched them out to create a SLIMLINE version!!! Plus a new quilt pattern!!
This is another fun filled scrap busting project...so gather up those supplies and let's create!

~~Measurements~~
Today's card is a slim line that measures 9.25" x 3.75" you will take a 9.25" x 7.50" piece of cardstock and score on the 7 .75" side at 3.75"
(6) 3" x 3" pieces cut from a print cardstock
(6) 3" x 3" pieces cut from solid cardstock

Building base: we used a scrap that measured approx. 12" x 3.50" or you can use (3) pieces of scrap cardstock cut approx. 3.50" x 3.50".... it just needs to be larger than 3" x 3"
Yellow mat: 3 3/8" x 9"
Mini Slim line card measures 6" x 3" you will take a 6" x 6" piece of cardstock and score at 3"
(6) 2" x2" pieces cut from a print cardstock
(6) 2" x 2" pieces cut from solid cardstock

I love these cards. It is great to be able to use all the 6x6 pads and scraps. It is also a great way to craft when your mojo is gone. Just make a bunch of squares. Later, you can put them together. I craft because it is creative and calming. As many have said before me, it is cheaper than therapy 😊. Please continue making these projects!! Love them!

I find that using longer blade scissors makes cutting those peices diagonally even easier, because you can line up the whole blade and just snip!

I enjoy making quilt cards. I'm making them for our church home bound members. I would love for you to do a design for every holiday. I tried copying a shamrock quilt block. Maymay, I love the quilt cards. I enjoy quilting & haven't been able to do it for a few years, but you have made me want to do it again. I at least can start with quilt cards. I am definitely more anal about straight lines & points lining up exactly. Believe me, I've pulled out more than my share of threads to re-sew quilt pieces. 🤣 Paper would definitely be easier & yes, I would have to use the trimmer & not scissors. Great cards.
