I f it were not for you, I would never have known all the intricacies of die cutting. I first started making cards during the pandemic. It kept me sane. I remember watching every video on the Big Shot after I bought one on a whim. These videos are just fantastic!

Whoo hoo! I wish I had the money to buy everything. Now that husband is totally retired-3rd time-- have to cut back on buying things. So that means I am going through my supply and using things that I have had for years. Every Monday I write to 8 Aunts, cousins and granddaughters so try to do something different each week. I'm in my eighties, I love to paper scrap, but I don't spend nearly the amount of time I used to on scrapbooking and card making to make it worth spending the money on this tool, although I really see the beauty of having it. I also do hand stitching so I'm often torn between the two crafts. I think I'll just stick to, on occasion, paper stitching like in your paper-piercing dies. I've done a lot of paper embroidery from the booklets I got from Ecstasy Crafts years ago. Love the effect it has on paper. (Hi, James.) Thanks, SMS

Happily awaiting the arrival of this new tool. I just learned while watching Yanna's channel with the inventor of the BetterPress , he said that your paper should be taped to that top plate, the one with registration lines on it. The metal plate rests on the bottom plate(chase). There is supposed to be a gap between the plate and the paper. Only when putting the BetterPress through the die cutting machine will the plate & paper meet. By having the plate and paper apart, you will get a correct stamping when it goes through the die cutting machine, no smearing or double stamping, because the plate won't shift. He also, said "not" to run the press back through a second time, one direction only. Hope this helps others be successful with this new tool. I believe these hints might make all the difference for me.
