That's not telling me or showing me how to get that big hunk of steel out of my trunk??? What do mean look at your other video??
@davea51502 жыл бұрын
How an I get the steel portion out of my truck when the copper is off. Two young guys lifted in my trunk now when stripped of copper how do I get it out of the trunk at the scrap yard. Can't lift it way too heavy. My back is not good but I need the money. Was thinking if I could put either a trolley jack somehow underneath then just oust it over the edge of the old Toyota Camry. Or use the larger floor jack t just take half the handle off as it just is held together with one bolt. ANY BETTER IDEAS PLEASE?? HAPPY NEW YEAR 🙂🙂

I scrap out motors and transformers for southern metals in Wilmington n.c. and make a good living at it, this transformer you see hear is a small one by my standers. the ones that i scrap weighed in at 3500 pounds. It had about 900 pounds of number 1 copper in it. My biggest electric motor was over 14000 pounds, that one was a lot of number 1 in it. I love my job scrapping. Charles Taylor out.

Wht is the percentage of copper in motor?
@bradlang94943 жыл бұрын
Nice score of copper. 9kg per coil of chunky copper windings. I hope your scrapyard pays you a fair price for all that. The yard i went to (I don't go there any more) offered me only motor price. They said there was too much plastic and varnish on them. I had 36 kgs from 2 transformers from an elevator upgrade at a highrise. So they were a little smaller than that one, only 6kg per coil - 18kg per whole transformer. Great video.

You have to file or cut the windings. If they have a silver color, then the windings are aluminum. If the windings are a reddish orange color, then they're copper.

@@simplescrapping I am yet to find out, generally it is believed 1 phase or single core transformers - 16-20% 2 COREs 20-25% and 3 phase (industrial or commercial) 22 - 30%. It does depend alot on what kind of transformer.
