I get about 3+ a month the heating wire is stainless and so is the bracket that it is mounted to, but it has some steel and plastic. the blower is aluminum, and yes there are a lot of screws. thank you for posting this video.

@@ThorntonScrapper My big Samsung window air conditioner is also from 2008 and still runs great! In all fairness, I guess lasting 16 years isn’t bad for a modern day appliance.

@@Sammy2012ify I think alot has to do with that new flammable refrigerant. That stuff don't last, seems to burn up in the compressor

@@ThorntonScrapper I think in 2008 they were still making R 22 appliances. My 2008 Samsung uses R 22. I guess that seized production in like the mid 2010s. I’m not sure exactly when R 410 appliances started hitting the market.

The HVAC shop I get stuff from removes the refrigerant when they replace a unit. They can re use it since that stuff is expensive to buy new
