I bought mine in 03/2015, absolutely the best thing I could have done. REDLINE K644-38 for VG24i & VG30i did a very good job making this as simple as is possible to install. This video was very complete and did a good job as well. If I would change anything, it would be to use some oil, or grease on the adapter gaskets and a small drop of loctite on the threads. Also, I used the "other" cable bracket, the fork type. Works great, lasts a long time. Great product, great video explaining things. Tom

Looks like you installed the Weber 38 Outlaw. I think you’ll like your new carb bc it has a couple of cool upgrade options. I have the Weber 32/36 DGEV which is a progressive carb so 0-70% throttle only one barrel is opened and from 71-100% throttle both barrels are opened. It’s sort of like overdrive for your carb. Lol! I ordered the Sync Link from Pierce Manifolds online and that converts my 32/36 to non-progressive so that both barrels open simultaneously like the outlaw. I never added the pump jet that came with the sync link bc it was running way too rich so I just left it the way it was. I drove 433 miles in my Mazda B when it was like upper 80s the whole way and I still averaged 26 mpg. Look up “air plenum” for your Weber and see if that’s something you might be interested in. I think I’m gonna be getting one for mine in a week or two. I’m still reading reviews for it. Another great video bro!

Awesome I'll look into and ya I'm trying to figure my gas mileage as I write this. Just got back from a 3 hour round trip with the new carb!
@AstonThaRat5 жыл бұрын
@@scrapingpavement dope! I paid 2.65 per gallon on average my last trip so basically for every 100 miles I drove it only cost $10.50 in gas. My engine is bored .030" over with an aggressive cam and PaceSetter header installed. Only creature comfort is power steering but that's less than a month old.

@@AstonThaRat did you notice much improvement running this setup over stock? S it worth doing?
@AstonThaRat5 жыл бұрын
luke green Yeah it’s got way more pep. The Sync Link comes with a pump jet that has 2 arms to squirt fuel in each barrel. It was getting way too much fuel with that on there so I kept the stock single arm pump jet on it. U could use the dual arm pump jet but then you’d have to change the jetting on the carb itself to reduce the amount of fuel coming out of it.
@lukegreen84485 жыл бұрын
@@AstonThaRat beautiful, i run a stock z24, they seem great for low end power but it defintely struggles up hills, especially cause of 4x4. I would love to drop a weber and extractors with a side cab exhaust exit, and maybe drop a performance cam in for a more balance powerband.

There's not a ton of places for parts on these trucks. For body panels and Replacment parts best bet is junk yards like pick n pull. I know rough country sells a small lift kit, djm sells a couple items. Weber makes a carb kit. The nissan dealership can get you some parts but not cheap. As well as used ebay items. Otherwise I would check out some forums like infamousnissan or nicoclub theres a ton of helpful info on those.

@jessecotey3 жыл бұрын
32/36 in a progressive carb, it has two different sized barrels. the smaller one opens first then once its mostly open the second barrel (larger one) starts to open - this carb is better for fuel economy but less top end power. the 38 is 2 barrel both 38 and open at the same time!
