A New Use For Dies!

In this video I'll be sharing a way to use your dies that you may have never thought about before - for cutting card bases! Begin by folding a piece of cardstock in half, then lay a basic shape die slightly off the folded edge. Run it through your die cutting machine and you'll have a super cute and unique card base! See my finished examples and then try this technique yourself!

I did this recently with a shaped oval die. I used it for the top of a flowerpot of daisies card. Attached the pot sections to it then glued the daisies to the oval piece that was now on the top of the pot. It opened portrait style. Think it looked like an ice cream cone. Wish I knew how to send a photo.

You could also die another scalloped rectangle (same size) to add to the front so it has scallops on all 4 sides 😉
