I have to tell you that when I saw you getting everything out and then you referenced fast and simple. I was like who is she kidding with all that stuff it’s gonna take forever. Fabulous job. I always learn something from you ladies.

lol....that's funny and something my friend says all the time. Picking the embellishments is the hardest, and most time consuming for me so if I can get the paper decided, cut, and laid down in a matter of seconds, that's fast & easy to me. The 4/8 rule helps with that...a LOT. TFW!

So cute! The 4/8 rule is fail proof and I use it often! Great tip! 😊

Thank you so much, gf! I love when the paper selection and base layout comes together so quickly...leaves more time for embellishing...lol

Several years ago we learnt about the 2 x 4 x 6 rule as well which is a good fall back to making a layout work. I think the eye likes the third rule which is also what makes a good photo. A very cute page & pleasing to the eye!

@@jonesfamilyny5 2", 4", and 6" pieces of paper/cardstock will make up a 12" side of your base layout. It's very pleasing to the eye and makes it easy to create a layout without a lot of thinking about that aspect of it 🤗
