Great for smaller journals that I make, never thought of doing them this small. I have wondered several times how shall a scrap would need to be for you to throw away. Today I thought, maybe some of those itsy birdies she trimmed off the tags. I'm the same way....

I adore these little tags. I love the way you take all the bits and pieces and make art. I think I have the wrong kinds of scraps (is that even possible?). I can’t make a pleasing collage no matter how hard I try. Do you have a video where you show how you made the nature journal you mentioned?

Thanks so much, Sandra! Most of my scraps are from papers I've painted, and I use bright, happy colors, so there's that. I do have a video where I shared the nature journal I made (kzbin.info/www/bejne/hZi6nGdsfraXrJY) but not one that shows how I made it. It's pretty basic, though, so I'm sure you could make something like it after seeing mine. Happy creating! 😊

Sandra, just a little suggestion... have you tried starting with a monochromatic colour scheme? Choose your favourite colour - be it blue, green, purple, etc - and pull a bunch of papers and bling from your stash, all different shades of that one colour. That would give you the chance to play with style, spacing, mixing patterns, visual balance, clean cut vs shabby, busy vs simple, etc. without worrying about how the colours play together. After you've made a few monochromatic ones, try mostly monochromatic, plus black and white, or monochromatic with one contrasting colour (one orange paper with a bunch of teal, or a little bit of yellow washi tape with a riot of purple florals, for example.) Just an idea, if you're up for it!

Thanks so much! You can’t put Mod Podge over watercolors - it will reactivate them and they will smear all over. Plus, I sealed them with the wax medium, so it’s all good. 😊
