Nice video, (as always). Haven't been up there for years. Last time was back when we could catch Lahontans in Walker Lake. I need to find some old photos, but I think we caught a LCT up in that area too. And plenty of Browns.

Love the Hee Haw reference. Goes perfect with your Minnie Pearl fishin' hat. Another great video that shows us all that to catch fish, you gotta' put in the time.

Another good winter fishing video. Ma I wanted to try that upper section below the dam. O well
@wildernesswithamani102721 сағат бұрын

Unfortunately fish kills in the East Walker have happened before. Kind of the perfect storm sets up in Bport Reservoir because of its shallow nature. Cattle grazing upstream of the reservoir does not help. However, fish will go thru the dam, and survive to start restocking the river. Plus fish will hopefully move upstream towards the dam and re-seed the area. Yes, it will take time. Happy Holidays Amani. Rick

What a shame about the fish kill in the East Walker. So many big & beautiful trout wasted.

My thoughts exactly. I read 8 and 9 pounders where belly up. Total drag.

Hey Amani, just wondering about what kind of jigs you were using?
@wildernesswithamani1027Күн бұрын
!/8 Oz Marabou. I have a video on my fishing tips playlist where I go over the different types of jigs I have had success with in rivers.

I went to Burney Falls in May and was told by a family friend of a big die off in April at “the riffles” of 30-40 big fish. I wonder what causes that. Maybe an algie bloom.
@wildernesswithamani102721 сағат бұрын
Not sure what caused it but that's a total drag. Such a waste.

Right on. I live in the reno area now. Most of my life was in CA. NorCal through high school then SoCal until I moved up here 5 years ago to work on my channel. I got stuck living at the beach in San Diego for way too long.
