I love making scrappy quilts , it is a good way to help use up some of our scraps that all quilters seem to have plenty of. Thank you very much..❤❤

Hello beautiful Lady ! I lived for 30 years in Rockford. Moved to Texas and I love it here but miss my great friends over there. I subscribed to your channel, love your work, you inspire me since I’m relatively new to quilting. Have a blessed day 🙏

Thank you, Gigi, for subscribing and for your kind words of encouragement! We are actually thinking of moving south in the next few years! Dealing with snow removal and the ice is not so fun as a person gets older!!! Would be nice to live in warmer weather year round!! Happy quilting! Lori

Great video. Very clear. I've done a similar flower block with one addition. I snowballed an additional corner of each petal using a smaller square. When the 4 petals are joined, the additional snowballed corners make a center for the flower - just another option.

Hi Lori, just watched you for the first time & fell in love with your blocks, you explain everything so well! . I have been quilting a long time & love easy blocks that look complicated. Love your patriotism

Wow I don’t know how I never heard you are from Rockford…my parents lived in Marengo for 20 years. This is a super cute block that would make a great table runner. Really liked this one. Thanks so much for sharing. Have a marvelous weekend. Be safe, I keep seeing the crazy weather ya’ll are having over there. 🤗🙏🤗🙏

I like this, bigger pieces are easier for me and I have a large stack of charm squares. I am making 3 QOV for my grandchildren and I like the silhouette at the end.

Hello! A timely video as I was in Rockford today visiting my mom (I moved from the area before the turn of the century 😂). I love this simple, yet beautiful block. I'm returning to quilting after many many years and really love these scrappy blocks that can use pre-cuts as my stash is very limited.

I can’t wait to make a pillow for him, using that block. I had no idea you had SEW many wonderful projects available, a I am a fairly new subscriber. Thank you SEW much!! 💕

Lori thank you so much. My daughter is a director in her firm. She has asked for quilted wall hangings for her office. This is perfect for the first hanging. You're keeping me busy and I thank you so much.

Hi Lori, again another wonderful block. I can't hang a wreath on my door because the birds always build nests in them so instead I hand small quilts. This will make a lovely four block door hanging. Have a wonderful weekend.

This would work so well with a layer cake - cut one into 1/4's and you have 4x5 petals that are the same. Just add background fabric and the green leaves. It's a really beautiful block ❤.

I love this block, but I have a "thing" about including some sort of middle (usually yellow) to my flower blocks. What size snowball would you recommend for that?
@quiltingwithlori8 ай бұрын
I would use 1.5” squares & snowball the centers of each blossom petal! It will make a perfect center to the flower!

Can you tell us about the quilt behind you?
@quiltingwithlori8 ай бұрын
April, The quilt on the wall behind me is called Oatmeal and Raisins.” I think I may have shared how to make each of the blocks in this quilt during my 52-week series of scrappy blocks. Let me check and see, and I’ll indicate which week they were done so you can easily find them in my 52-week Scrappy Block series playlist in my KZbin channel.
