I love you tackling this idea. I think you could absolutely use that piece of gorgeous paper you showed and talked about not being the correct direction. Just turn it horizontal and overlap another piece and glue it together with the seam landing in the back.

I've got another idea for the freebies: backyard theater, starring the Cottage Kids. My original thought was the kids putting on a pirate play, and that's a possibility, but then I thought of kids dressed up as trees and flowers. Whatever appeals.

Every time I do a journal, it never ends up looking like I first envisioned it. There’s always some imperfections, something a tad off center, a brad out of line, a bit of extra glue showing… 😅 I fear no one will want to buy my journals because they aren’t perfect, but I guess that’s part of the handmade charm. This type of journal embraces flaws and uses them to create a unique beauty for each journal. I love it!❤
