My heart breaks for scrappy. He literally was about to say “I’m a child” but then stop himself and “I’m your child”. That’s his inner child crying out for help to his mother. Momma Dee has no accountability for her actions and it’s sickening. As a black community, we need to break the cycle once and for all.

My mom never offered her floor or backyard when I was homeless on the streets through the rain and snow ❄️ storms, sleeping in tents. I didn't even do hard drugs and never have. Never prostituted. I was just in between jobs with no savings. One day she said to me GO BACK HOME TO YOUR TENT when she got mad at me for defending myself against her bullshit. To keep bringing up an ex that I had 10 years ago. She always got something to talk about him telling me how her and my grandma tried to say he wasn't a good guy in this that any other. And I just be wanting her to shut the f****** cuz I don't even think about that ni#$@. I mean she bring this n**** up all the time it was not until this time around we got into an argument because I told her that she was an abusive mother and he never apologized but she acts just like scrappy's mom like she doesn't think I'm sorry what can I do to make you feel better nothing. And she's definitely a gas lighter. I just don't know why I haven't put my foot down yet to say I'm washing my hands quick of her cuz every now and then I should call but I need to get out here maybe new friends or something because this is too toxic

Its difficult when you try to talk to a parent about how hurt you are and they turn it and say they hurt more. It's frustrating. Scrapp wasn't disrespectful at all , he was venting how hurt he is and she made it about her.
@toppagirl
@toppagirl 2 жыл бұрын
“that’s why i don’t talk to your motherf$&king A$$” ain’t disrespectful? My mom is a full blown narcissist and I simply stay away and love her from a distance. Nobody’s gonna stop my blessings from coming to me. I live a good life and knowing that she hates that is good enough for me. I’m 44 years old and I’ve never disrespected her even after everything she’s done to me. Scrap needs to take accountability for his choices. He knows his momma doesn’t like his wife, so why go to your mom and vent to her knowing she was gonna do exactly what she did? If i was Bambi, i would feel betrayed, which why he’s doing damage control. When people get caught, they deflect and play victim. Yes Mama Dee was wrong, but so was he. Why not check her when she disrespected your wife by befriending your ex and becoming godmother to your child? Only when she tells everybody what YOU said about your wife is when you have a breaking point? Negro please.

Scrapp has a point about breaking generational curses. Most of us was raised in broken homes, seeing things no child should have to see, becoming traumatized by the things we've been through as children... and our parents treat us as though we're supposed to "suck it up and deal with it". Then when we voice our pain to our parents, they treat us as though we're disrespecting them, turning a blind eye to our pain. This has got to stop. At some point, our parents and grandparents need to take accountability for what they've put us through as children. As Scrapp said "I didn't do anything to you, I was a child".

Proud of Scrappy breaking free from the dysfunction and trauma from his childhood. Unfortunately a lot of black children grow up in narcissistic homes. This is what happens when you keep things bottled up and then it boils over and spills over. In a lot of black households, we were taught to just keep quiet in these situations. We grew up with the whole "children are meant to be seen but not heard" and it spills over into our adult life and it puts us in the position of sitting back and keeping our mouths shut, despite the parent not having the decency to keep their mouths shut. And Momma Dee had the nerve to say he was being disrespectful. If he was, there was a reason and he told her the reason: you gotta give respect to get it. I sometimes struggle with my own mother about this. She can't respect me as an adult. I'm 37 and is still being treated like I'm 12. It's my fault because I allow it and I keep quiet. Then when I act my age or when things start bubbling over aka when I demand respect as an adult and also as one of her children (im the youngest of seven), it becomes a problem. And then the arguing starts. Somewhere down the line, me keeping quiet gave her the idea that she can treat me any kind of way or tell my business to anyone or have her input whenever she feels like it. And now...I'm paying for it. Scrap going through the same thing. We love our mothers and respect them, but it's hard when you don't get that same respect back.

One day I was at school and she knew I had to work after school and I had my own vehicle that I purchased she texted me and told me that she had my keys and I was no longer needed in the house. Scrappy has been tormented by his mother's upbringing. There was no other way for him to express himself but to let it all out like this! Momma Dee messed up his relationship with Erica. Whenever she sees him getting love from another woman, she destroys their relationship. I really believe Erica is more suited to deal with Momma Dee than Brandi because Brandi doesn't feel for him like Erica does. All he wanted to do was please his mom and make her proud. Momma Dee has been out of line several times and she needs to be put in her place ! That’s the problem now ! Moms think they can disrespect and not be put in their place ! She needs a reality check

Sadly, the dysfunction was so relatable. I was on the edge of my seat watching this with my husband, so proud of scrap. Sometimes confrontation is the only way to heal the self cause she will NEVER take accountability.

One of the things that irked me during this video was when Mama Dee told Scrappy "you can't talk to me like that." I've been through this myself and it's prevalent in the black community that your parent(s) can do and say whatever they want to you but the second you give them the same energy or try explaining you pov they deem it disrespectful. Just because you're the parent doesn't mean you're always right and above reproach. Your child is hurting and it's not time to make it about you and pull rank. To a child they see that your dismissing their feelings and avoiding accountability. And she and others wonder why the child(ren) don't want a relationship or anything to do with you 🙄
