I have 2 different socks going. One is a second sock and the other is a first sock. I've been knitting more socks than anything else lately. I am also crocheting a blanket in the mosaic stitch. Taking a break from it for a bit though.

Good to see you this Scrappy Sunday! A scrappy musselburgh hat would be a great project. When you were talking about not feeling the blankets, I thought you need some new type of scrappy project that you could get excited about. That hat pattern is definitely bringing you joy.

At the moment, I’m accumulating for my scrap sweater. I agree with you on the blanket burnout, though. My log cabin blanket (if you can consider that scrappy :P) is pretty much abandoned for now, all the television I’ve been watching requires 100% brain power! Gorgeous socks, I really like your Slipstravaganza colours!

Good morning! What yarn would you recommend for a stretchy wool sock? Thank you
@CrazySockLady3 жыл бұрын
Any sock yarn that I have used has been stretchy enough for socks. :) Something Superwash wool/nylon, or just wool/nylon.

You sound so much like me in that I just can’t force craft........if it’s blankets I feel like, then it’s blankets I work on. Similarly if it’s socks I want, then don’t suggest blankets to me 😳. You just can’t force an artistic person, it has to be there & want to flow!! That’s how I think anyway ☺️☺️

Will you ever bring out a toe-up sock pattern? I prefer this way when I'm not sure how far my yarn will go, but I do much prefer the finish of your socks. I have never won at yarn chicken, and most of my handmade socks where I've spun the yarn myself have one odd toe 🤣 Commercial yarn I'm a bit better at judging it.
@CrazySockLady3 жыл бұрын
Not sure. I'll never say never but I don't have any plans to knit toe up socks anytime soon let alone do a pattern for them. :) I know a lot of people just use their basic toe up recipe and insert the pattern section from my patterns in them. :)
@katnewman28563 жыл бұрын
@@CrazySockLady ah ok yeah that makes sense 😁 I guess once I have a bit more confidence/experience with sock knitting I'll be able to do that too!
