Great job, well done! I also do scratchbuilding in styrene. No N-scale but H0, no structures but vehicles. Mostly bodies of fire-engines. You don't need special tools! All you need are sharp scalpells or hobby-knifes, and good files and sanding-sticks. Today, everything must be lasercut or 3D printed but that's rubbish. Good creative work from your own hands is much more worthy than this special stuff. The only thing you can look for: a photoetched sawblade. There are some with an own handle available, as also blades which match into your hobby-knife. You 've the most stuff you need! Good luck for future projects! Best regards from Germany!

Building in N gauge is very unforgiving, and you did a great job. As with everything else, practice leads to better outcomes, and I expect that you learnt a lot from this little project. I'm building in EM gauge, and my window and door apertures also needed some refining. but I made my own windows and doors. Best wishes.

@@georgeclements2742 I appreciate your kind words, I had never heard of EM gauge despite growing up in the UK, I got my start in OO as a child. After picking the hobby back up in the US opted for N scale. Would love to get an N gauge class 08 to run as a novelty on my rails at some point.
