Let's save some money and build all the big pieces of Killzone Octarius to combine with the Kill Team starter set.

I was thinking about tracking down a second set of Octarius terrain to make a bigger board, but this has inspired me! Nice one.

I've been delaying starting this exact process for weeks now because it felt so overwhelming. Your video has been incredibly helpful in showing how it can be done without a 3D printer, and still have it fit the theme. All the little details that you thought of give it such personality, look the part and seem possible to do. Just a great approach. Thank you.

Incredible video, and I love the end results! Have you considered making more scratch build tutorials?

I would have loved to have seen a battlefield mockup with your pieces - maybe even some models on them - great work! absolutely beautiful

Wow! For being such a small channel, the craftsmanship of this terrain is immaculate!

Wow, super impressive! Loved the process and the end result. And definitely had a laugh at the random Nacho moment. Nice job!

There are two ways of getting better corners with foamboard. First is to get an angle trimmer, but an architect friend of mine told me to just do a straight cut 5mm from the edge but not cuting all the way through. Then rip that strip of foam off leaving the paper on the other side, clean it up a bit and just glue it against a straight piece of foamboard.

That's a good idea, I'll give it a try next time!

Everyting looks great! I never actually liked premade plastic terrain kits and I'm a fan of crafted things... U could show everything set up on the table with miniatures on it to justify the greatness of this things ;) Keep it up!

I agree! I prefer DIY terrain. Even the crafts that were not done with too much skill, have way more personality and they are unique! 👍

I also bought the starter set and was planning on doing this using the measurements from that reddit post. This will help me a great deal when I get around to it. Since the small platforms only seem to be used for the gap filling I'll probably just make unsupported panels to place over the gaps.

Fantastic work! Just goes to show that a little gumption and elbow grease can get the job done, no matter the scale

Nice job man! I hate trying to recreate specific pieces of terrain, it's so much harder than just having a general idea of what you want.

You need to buy a mat knife for the bevel on the foam board

A girder/beam is horizontal. A column/pier/post is vertical. Sorry, I'm in construction and they serve to counteract two opposite types of forces. Good work.
