12:17 a lot of people find this part funny. I mean it is but they often miss the genius of it. Scream is actually a very innovative horror movie. It’s showing something that can happen in real life! (And does happen in real life.) it’s not something where the killer can’t die and constantly comes back every movie or people that can turn into monsters. Someone trying to murder you and tripping on something (especially wearing a mask with that kind of tunnel vision) is something that really happens. That’s what makes Scream different from a lot of other horror movies, it’s not some fictional horror fantasy. It’s reality. Wes Craven was brilliant. The Scream movies weren’t creative at all (except with some of the kills) but they were still some how “scary” and entertaining

When it comes to a movie or show, the director is more important than the writer is. The writer doesn’t even have much of a role in shooting the movie, if at all. The director (Wes) knows how to visually create meaning into the scene, not the writer which is the exact reason I said “Wes is brilliant” *dUmBaSs* . The writer uses words to get meaning across but words aren’t enough, the director has to take what was written and improve it or visualize it in their own way. Which is why “words aren’t enough.” Theres things the writer thinks will work in the movie that the director has to know won’t so that’s why the director changes it. It’s literally the directors visualization and interpretation of the writers script that becomes what the audiences see. A writer can write a good script but it can be visually created by a bad director, or a writer can make a bad script and it can go to a good director and they’ll know how to make it a great movie. Can’t you see why the director is more significant? It’s all in their power whether the movie is good or bad. A writer can write a scene but the way the director interprets it is what makes it a good scene or not. Not to take anything away from the writer because they’re obviously important as well, no writer then no movie overall. Ever notice how in interviews, actors and actresses will mostly give props to the director? Because they actually understand how significant the director is, and in more ways than one, more important than the writer. I’ll never understand why people like you don’t research this kind of thing before embarrassing yourself due to ignorance. Seriously, you really said “Wes just directed.” I don’t know you thought you sounded smart while typing your halfwitted comment.

Randy also seems to get it half right. Which I find very interesting with his character. He always seem to get the killer right the first time around but fails to get the full scope. He's right about mickey, but it wrong in certain aspects when it comes to sequel even misquoting alien. But that's what I love about Randy's character he's essentially Us in the audience. He's a character you definitely want to take note of and listen to but he's not infallible to making mistakes. and yes killing him was definitely a mistake.

On the audio commentary for the movie it turns out he was. Supposed to die in this movie as well like he was supposed to die in the first movie also on that movies audio commentary. But they had him live in this case only because they already killed Randy off. So they wanted to show no one was safe so they killed Randy off but went killing one main character of okay but. Killing two main characters off would be pushing it for the fans an audience so Dewey got to live again. For that reason only but if Randy didn't die Dewey would have died ether way a main character had to go.

That part when she gets killed doring . The movie no one noticed because they thought they were acting . A murder out in some movie theaters they let people act things. In the movie out they had screenings of The Rocky horror picture show . Whare some people in the audience came dressed up as characters from the movie . Then acted the scene out as it played on the screen behind them . My favorite movie out of the Scream movies . Is the first one nothing against the sequels . But I see it like this . For a sequel to become my favorite of a franchise . It has to really add something new to the. Movie other than just adding on to the original story.

I just listened to the audio commentary on the DVD for this movie so here's a fact updated. Some fun others more scary but fun first some of the scenes whore not in the script. Like for example at the start when the one guy goes into the bathroom an gets killed. Wes Craven said all it said was basically he goes into the bathroom. Then Wes makes it scary so that kill an the things that lead up to it. Was all Wes Cravens idea there was another scene same thing. So an so goes there an Wes makes it scary they also talked about why the killers keep running into things in the movies. Then one of them said probably because they cannot see a dam thing. Because the stuntman keeps complaining about how you can't see any with that mask on. Sarah Michelle Gellar also actually did that stunt herself. She apparently said I do this stuff all the time on Buffy Vampire Slayer I have no problem doing it but I am actually afraid this time. Now the fun / scary fact in the scene when Sidney is rehearsing her play that smoke coming out of the orchestra pit. Was made by dry ice an incase you didn't know dry ice removes oxygen from the air as it makes smoke. Someone was in the orchestra pit at the time probably maintaining the dry ice because the smoke is the dry ice becoming smoke. So he was probably adding more dry ice but his mask fell off and he passed out an almost suffocated to death. Others heard he was in distress and jumped in to help him but they did not have mask on as well. So they also suffocated from oxygen deprivation so that scene almost really killed people in real life. Then when they are looking for the killer on the phone before Randy died. When Dewey jump on that collage student that was not in the script. David Arquette accidentally jumped on the college student by mistake but he was fine with it an no one was hurt so they used it in the movie. Now when Sidney's boyfriend sings to her they unwisely decided. To have Jerry O'Connell who plays him actually walk around the tables and sing to her. With every one clapping in the background like in the movie. Let's just say it took multiple takes an a lot of editing make that scene work in the movie. Also the Chief of Police was played by David Arquette's father. Now in many scenes like in the hospital scene all the background people we're mainly people that work behind the scenes of the movie. Even Wes Craven shows up on screen there now the talk show host interviewing Cotton on the TV that was the writer Kevin Williamson. Playing the TV show host.

The only dangers with a smoke machine are if someone falls because they can't see or if someone's allergic to something in the smoke. But as I said above dry ice is dangerous to use all around an was almost fatal in this case. But luckily no one was severely injured other than the people that suffered some oxygen deprivation and the guy passing from it. But you know the old saying you live you learn an get lucky no one was severely injured or died.

Also fun fact the late actor Christopher Lee and this is on KZbin. Just look up Christopher Lee refuses to scream in Lord of the Rings The Two Towers. The director wanted him to scream when he get stabbed in the back. Christopher Lee said I'm not going to scream because when someone gets stabbed in the back you cannot scream. Because all the air escape your lungs so all all you can make is a oh sound. Then then the director asked him how do you know then Christopher Lee said from experience. Then the director said okay we will do it your way for people that don't now Christopher Lee was not always a actor. Someone puts it in the video he was in a group like the SSR basically if you wanted some one to disappear you went to them. Then no one would never hear or see from them ever again. So that's since the director know his back ground he never pushed it an went we will do it your way. Because if he knew from experience that means he may or may not have stabbed a few people in the back.

Now MrParkerman6 this movie was released December 25. But you do know it was not filmed in December it was not filmed in cold weather at all. You do understand that right the release date has nothing to do with when the movie is filmed. So the thing about people being stabbed in winter is true. But it's not a blunder because they did not film the movie in winter.

Not to mention that she abandoned him with his father an had no contact. With him for what 15 years so that is also f up. Because you are literally and figuratively why he did it because you abandon him. Because he only did it because you left him with his father an had no contact. So yeah you are to blame for him doing it because if you didn't abandon him he. Would not of did it an he would still be alive so it is your fault you started it by abandoning him in the first place. This is why Billy's mother has the worst motivation for revenge an murder I have ever seen in any movie or TV show. Because she abandon Billy with his father an has no contact with him. Whatsoever wich makes him want to kill people then when someone kills him in self defense. That person is the bad person in this situation for defending themselves. When it all started with her abandoning him 15 years ago with no contact. That's why I can't by her excuse or motivation that was bad writing as far as I'm concerned. Because if she cared an love him as much as she claimed she never would have abandon him. She would have took him with her when she left so I don't by that bs about her loving her son. Because a loving mother or father would never abandon their child.

scream 3 was decent. . the idea was great but it was a bit rushed and then to compoound the issue it was being made right around the time of the columbine school shooting so the studio was trying to tone things down. . even with that if they had spent a little more time smoothing the edges it coulda been the best of the three

I for one was not feeling Jada's death scene in this I was sooo mad like why couldn't the audience members realize that this is real and not a part of the act. Makes no sense to me. Nobody helped her...she was literally getting stabbed in the aisle. Messed the rest of the movie up for me.
