I loved the movie. I saw it in theaters a few days after it was released. The film to me is much darker, suspenseful, and even emotional than the other films. Very sad when Dewey died, but loved how Sidney and Gale got revenge for him by lighting Amber the fuck up. Also was glad that the Meek twins and Carpenter sisters survived. My ranking for the films goes as follows: Scream 1 Scream 2 Scream 5 Scream 4 Scream 3

I just wanna say… please don’t listen to the haters complaining about you talking “too much”! While I will say that, yes, you did say a *lot* in your commentary here (And, admittedly, you spoke a good bit more than most other _good_ movie reactors do.) the thing is, you really didn’t miss _anything_ because of it! (Aside from, _perhaps_ a few small moments and/or one-liners. Which, I have to say, I actually found _extremely_ impressive!) And that is the _only_ reason that I ever dislike it when reactors “talk _too_ much” during the film because they end up missing awesome moments and major plot points due to talking right over them. *But you did nothing of the sort!!* So while, yes, you have a lot to say, (And why wouldn’t you?! You’re a freaking _movie reactor_ whose hella excited by/for an *awesome* movie!!!) you always keep it short and sweet and you didn’t miss a _single_ important moment or plot point!! Really, the *only* people complaining about you talking “too much” are the assholes that are trying to watch the movie for free anyway! So screw them! They can pay to watch it just like the rest of us!! Essentially what I’m trying to say is, fuck the haters! You do you, boo, cuz you’re doing AMAZING!! 💜 Also, very quickly, I too *loved* this movie! And while I personally don’t think that it’s the “best” film in the franchise, I still think that it’s friggin fantastic and I’m absolutely *thrilled* to have a _fifth_ hella solid installment added into my *all-time-favorite* franchise!! And, oh yeah, I’m also super pumped that both twins survived because…. Mindy = “Yaaaaas QUEEN!!!“ 🤩 & Chad = “Hello, ZADDIE!!!” 🤤 LOL!

I really want Tara to be the new final girl instead of Sam. The way she gave it her all on that wheelchair ? Iconic. Escaping the killer twice ? Iconic. Also the actress performance was a lot better than Sam's imo....

I watched this on the theaters and on the day it was raining so heavy that the light of the mall went out in the middle of the movie and everybody thought that GhostFace would come and murder us HAHAHAHA it was fun but actually terrifying! Even though I didn't watch properly the other Scream movies, I really enjoyed this one, and Mindy was my favorite caracther too

27:12 And that's why it's sort of brilliant in it's own way - anyone who gets mad at the reason or starts badmouthing it are basically falling into the trap, they're getting worked up and upset over something in a movie, just like Amber and Ritchie are getting mad over a bad movie, it's almost unbelievably stupid and they think they're justified. That's why it's brilliant, people who don't like it are falling into the trap. Plus it's a continuation from Scream 4 where we see the beginning of Stab 7 which is two women watching the beginning of Stab 6 and one woman stabs the other because she felt that the movie was stupid. And it's still following the storyline of all the other ghost faces - they have selfish, petty reasons for killing strangers because of their own personal problems, and all think that they're justified in killing a lot of people (even in Scream 2 when they started by killing people who have a similar name to the victims in Scream 1) and that they're the true victims of the story because they think their problems are more important than anyone else's, the reasons get pettier and more narcissistic as the franchise goes on, they're all basically saying "Yeah I deliberately killed a lot of people but it's not MY fault!"

Seen it last night, wasn't bad but I knew who the killers were the first time I seen em. That girl looks evil AF...she’s on once upon a time in Hollywood too. I would never fall asleep next to her lol. Deputy Dewey wtf...they can bring him back tho if they make another scream because they didn’t show a funeral so they can say he survived. I mean if they can bring back the characters in the devils rejects after being shot in the head a 100 times than they can bring back deputy Dewey.
