The scream 7 christopher landon film is likely to go into production possibly after the end of the 2023 writers strike. Scream 6 was a box office hit and became the highest-grossing installment in the franchise by the end of its run earlier this year, making scream 7 somewhat inevitable.
My scream 7 predictions peg Stu Macher returning as Ghostface - which was the original plan for Scream 3. The character, who was played by Matthew Lillard, was one of the two killers in the original 1996 Scream and was killed at the end of the movie by having a TV smashed on his head by Sidney Prescott - Neve Campbell.
Scream 7 theories have been swirling around Stu's potential return ever since the franchise came back to theaters in 2022 with Scream 5 and 2023's Scream VI, neither of which featured Stu, but reference him heavily. Casting Lillard in крик 7 would be smart, given his role in the upcoming Five Nights At Freddys fnaf movie - which will surely be a hit.
Is a Scream 7 Stu Return Even Possible?

While no former Ghostface killers have ever returned to the franchise, the production team behind the new Scream movies have sent quite a few mixed signals about Stu's return, both behind the scenes and onscreen. For instance, in Scream 6, Mindy (Jasmin Savoy Brown) has a line confirming that there are rumors that Stu isn't actually dead, though Kirby uses the same TV that killed Stu to kill Ethan Landry later in the film, proving that method's overall effectiveness.

100% you can’t not have Sid in these movies. I was actually disappointed that she wasn’t involved in the 6th movie. But honestly I am reading some great ideas here. I really hope that they do this right. I am a die hard scream fan and I would hate for this franchise to be ruined. They why this concept trailer is made really fits for a “final showdown” type of movie. I read that people are interested in involving Sid’s family. A part of me agrees. I would have Scream 7 and 8 be a two-part finale for the new movies, so when we've got four original films and four new ones, but here we go; in Scream 7, there is a Cult of Ghostface that wreaks havoc on NYC, looking to put an end to the franchise once and for all by killing off every remaining target who survived throughout the past murder sprees, so this would include Kirby, Sidney, Gale, the Core 4, as well as other past characters including Gale's cameraman Joel or the Sorority Sisters from Scream 2 (I know none of them were technically victims, but still, it would be nice!), and maybe even Sidney's husband Mark Kincaid from Scream 3. I also feel like Scream 7 should be set a few years after Scream VI so that the Core 4 are now graduated from college and have gone their own separate ways but still remain in contact obviously, until they are eventually drawn back together again with the other characters as well due to the new killing spree taking place.These ones are set during Christmas as well as being the most emotional of them all, with a few, not everybody obviously, but a few, characters, including beloved fan favourites, finally dying across the span of both movies to really make an impact, which are Kirby, Gale, Mindy and Tara, driving Sam over the edge and making her more vengeful than ever before, closer to giving in to those killer instincts she inherited. The others manage to survive and take out the murderous Ghostfaces, which is no easy task of course but eventually they get the job done despite being severely outnumbered by setting off an explosion to take them all out at once, except for their mysterious leader who narrowly escapes at the end of Scream 7 which leads into Scream 8 on a cliffhanger, immediately following the events of it's predecessor so yeah. I don't believe Sidney nor Gale should come back until Scream 8 because Tara, Sam and the rest of the Core 4 should have at least one movie with NO legacy characters whatsoever in order to let them shine completely 100% by themselves just like they got to do, though if their names are mentioned I wouldn't mind that at all! Scream 8 is the big finale where we find out that the cult's leading Ghostface was none other than Stu Macher himself, one of the original killers alongside Billy Loomis as we all know, the mastermind behind every murder spree since Scream 4, and this is where Sidney and Gale come back into it to join the remaining Core 4 members to put an end to the chaos for good. It concludes on a final, emotional showdown between Stu Macher and Sidney Prescott which ends with her coming closer to death than ever before, barely managing to get the upper hand and taking Stu out after saying to him "I always had a thing for ya, Stu"; just when he rises one last time, Sam comes out of knowhere to finish Stu off. After Stu had tried his best to goad Sam into turning evil and become a killer like Billy, she finally overcomes her inherited psychopathic impulses once and for all, with Sam remarking to Sidney "We all go a little mad sometimes, but not this time", putting an end to Ghostface forever... or not?

That was really good! I’m a Stu fan and I think this concept trailer is perfect for Stu fans wanting him to come back. Like he goes into the theater and sees it’s all about billy. And lights the whole place on fire… could tie back to when Kirby and Mindy were talking about him and Mindy has suspicions he’s not dead. She could be right about the killer again! Also it also would give a satifying full circle kinda feel to really end it with Sidney and scream if she doesn’t want to do anymore. And who else to end it than an original. After all, he did always have a thing for Sid…

@@WilsonCleveland2 I had to screen record certain parts of the trailer because some images were quick bits. If I didn’t do that I would of missed half the clues. I’m not one who thinks Stu’s alive but he certainly has a fan base and with the return to the old Macher residence and Amber’s fangirl’ness for Stu and his nephew being killed in 5 I was sure they’d do more with that family connection but we ended up with Stu being Quinn’s favorite and that reference that there’s an online community pushing the narrative that he’s alive. I wished they’d touch more on the homoerotic tension with him and Billy, because it’s certainly there. The closest we got was w/Randy mentioning Billy being homo-repressed before Mrs. Loomis gutted him.

I have a great idea for 7 and 8 Scream 7- Stu is the killer and he goes after Sam and Tara as revenge for Billy literally ruining his life but for the first time ever in scream the villain wins and we don’t know who he is until the end when he makes a phone call to Sydney telling her he’s coming for her and he takes off the mask revealing himself as Stu Scream 8- Stu and Sydney in a final showdown in woodsboro ending it with the 2 originals left from the first one
