4K blu ray re-release for Poltergeist II is a must have for me anyway since I never got the chance to even buy the previous regular Shout Scream blu ray of the movie a few years back. Its because of the damn scalpers/hoarders that buy up bunch of copies of the movie where they jacked up the price up to 100 bucks or more on amazon and ebay for a couple of years already.

If you grew up in the 70s and 80s Rankin/Bass was everywhere with there animations. From holiday specials to feature films like The Hobbit & Return of the King. The Last Unicorn is a hidden gem.

The last Unicorn came out the same time as The Secret of N.I.M.H. and The animated version of The Hobbit. It was a good movie, I remember watching it.

Man! These boutique labels are spoiling me over the next couple months! Arrow comes through with the Mexico Trilogy? Criterion finally restoring The Last Emperor (WITH TV Cut) on 4K?! Unearthed rolling through with the R-Rated Cut of The Guyver?!!?! And now Shout Factory has dropped dime on Poltergeist II (one of my all-time favorite horror films - and here's hoping for 'III' as well) and the whole Bill & Ted Trilogy getting the royal treatment?!?!!?! What a time to be a collector! Poltergeist II was especially awesome to wake up to this morning, cause I've been kicking myself for a long time over missing Scream Factory's blu-ray releases of the two sequels. Most excellent!

It would of been more worth it if shout factory added more new special features for poltergeist 2 like the new found 131 uncut extended version of poltergeist 2 and new interviews with the parents jobeth Williams and Craig t Nelson to make it even more worth but same oh special features at least 1 more new interviews with Oliver ribbons

The biggest news dropped yesterday and overshadowed Scream Factory's announcements and that is Zavvi putting out the 4k Terminator 40th anniversary steelbook and then today Warner. Brothers let it leak that we're getting a US release of the 4k Terminator between the end of Augus to early October!

This is actually a fantastic month for Shout! The Bill & Ted box set looks incredible. Too bad about that insane price though! Delta Force I grew up with and own on BD; one of those dad action flicks he put on and we all fell into. As an adult, it's got a GREAT first half, with the airplane takeover, but does devolve somewhat in the second half and loses too much of that intrigue with straight 80s guy action... which is great but the substance lost is noticeable. Still an amazing film though.

Kenny, I am surprised that you have not spoken about nineteen eighty sixs Trick-or-treat. It is coming out on 4K this fall. I believe from synop's three Different hardcover slip cases to choose from. And it is a fantastic hidden gem with Ozzy. Osbourne and Gene Simmons. Classic horror film with a great soundtrack. You might wanna look into this one

Nobody can know every movie for sure. The Last Unicorn is actually a quite well known animated movie from the 80s. At least here in Germany it is a well known and beloved as The NeverEnding Story. I’m super excited for Poltergeist II! For me, it was equal to the first one with how much I enjoyed it! Also very happy Bill & Ted is finally getting a box set! I love the first 2 and I agree, Bogus Journey is more fun! Face The Music is not that great but has its moments. Delta Force is another one I’m looking forward too! Even though Poltergeist III is somewhat of a letdown, I’m hoping that gets a 4K before October.

The Last Unicorn is a classic of late 70s/80s dark fantasy movies like Watership Down, The Plague Dogs, The Secret of Nimh, the Dark Crystal, etc….it is somewhat a deconstruction of traditional fantasy archetypes. It is a musical, and it has some of the most chilling lines ever. I can’t guarantee you will like it too but I don’t think this release just came out of nowhere. Unfortunately, I just bought the shout blu-Ray and I will for sure buy this too

it was on many movies channels during the early 80's and interesting fun fact. the title song for the movie was done by a well known 70's group America. this came out around the time that their last big hit was played on the radio called you can do magic.

The Last Unicorn was one of my childhood vhs animated favorites. Similar animation as the old Lord of the Rings/Hobbit movies from the late 70s but a little improved if I remember correctly.

Barnes and Noble is having a kino lorber 50% off sale. Had to take part. Bought 3 Days Of Condor. Saw it on Max or Amazon prime. Thought the movie was pretty good. And got Taking Of Pelham 123 with Walter Mathou. I was confused with whether or not I was going to receive a slipcover or not. Or else I would have got Bad Lieutenant. Both movies I got were on 4K they appear to have slips.

Observe and report did have a blu ray before. it a funny movie. Delta Force is a kick ass movie with some element of drama involve. it a cannon film movie. it good to see a cannon film movie get a 4k treatment. I'm so mad that invasion USA is not on blu ray anymore. I really like that movie. glad to hear that one it getting 4lk treatment as well that movie one of my favorite Chuck Norris movie. Robin Williams did some pretty really creeping drama. One Hour Photo was a serious movie but he did some interesting dark comedies like Death To Smoochy and World's greatest Dad. btw, World's Greatest Dad is one of those Bobcat Goldthwait's directed movies. he really into some weird subject matter with his dark aka black comedy movie he directed.

All of these shout factory's new announcements is nothing but a total joke & a waste of money. Bc again shout factory' is just releasing movies that already have a good bluray release. But now releasing the same movie again now in 4k at a higher price tag. All I can say is shout factory is bottom of the barrel in releasing anything new to bluray or 4k. Bc 80 percent of there releaes are nothing new just re-releases of movies that already have a good release. And all I got to say is this sad & pathetic bc there is still tons of unreleased catalog titles that still don't have a bluray or 4k releaes still to this day. And shout factory could have been releasing more first time catalog titles to bluray or 4k but shout factory rather releaes the same movie over again but now in 4k at a higher price tag.

First, shout has to aquire the rights for a movie from a particular studio. If its a good title, the studio will put it out themselves or will charge shout an arm and leg. If it doesn't make financial sense, shout doesn't do it. These are the best they could do for this month.
