The whole point was simply that I didn’t get why so many people loved a ‘horror movie’ that I believed was so dumb & silly that it wouldn’t scare a baby mouse. I also respect each person’s right to a personal opinion - which includes my own right to a personal opinion - I chose to use the Proverb “…HER own” which was a translation of the original Latin Phrase “…THEIR own” which translated to the Idiom “…HIS own”. Since I am a female, I made a logical choice to use the Proverb ‘HER’. Boring! I couldn't get into it at all. It's just a woman seeing/hearing weird stuff for the first hour, and it wasn't scary in the least bit. Her husband was a jerk! The woman was a good actress, it just wasn't my type of movie. I like them much more terrifying. But, everyone has different taste in movies so just because I didn't care for it doesn't mean you won't :) Thank you for uploading though, it's much appreciated!

After a long time it's one best fitted movie in the gener of horror movies. Though it appears to be some type of psychosis but some unknown super natural activity does also prevail there. Brilliantally written script and a very good screen play with a marvelous performance by Sharry Shattuck. The team has created a very good piece of work specially photography and the environment is awesome.

A most finestkind film!! I would rank it right up there with "Rosemary's Baby." It's presentation of severe mental illness, or rather the symptoms thereof (psychosis is probably the best fit) is admirable indeed (even though in this case most of the symptoms had an actual supernatural cause---which, speaking practically from the patient's pov, is a meaningless distinction). One of those rare horror movies that has the qualities to make it worth seeing again. An all-round splendid production!

Schizophrenics mainly hear voices. They rarely see things that aren't there. It's more hearing voices that are always negative such as saying things like "you're worthless." "You are nothing." "Kill yourself" etc. They have what are called "positive" and "negative" symptoms. The positive symptoms of schizophrenia can be usually controlled with antipsychotic medications. So positive symptoms include auditory hallucinations, delusions such as hearing messages or perceiving messages from things such as the TV or radio. Intrusive thoughts, fear, anxiety etc. The negative symptoms of schizophrenia are harder to control. Negative symptoms include lack of motivation, lethargy, depression, suicidal thoughts, feels of worthlessness, fatigue etc. So antipsychotics are major tranquilizers. They essentially block dopamine in the brain causing most of the "positive" symptoms to disappear but they actually worsen a lot of the negative symptoms of schizophrenia like lethargy, lack of motivation, fatigue etc. And antipsychotics are some of the most toxic drugs on earth. They're so toxic they actually kill the elderly because their bodies cannot handle the toxic effects of antipsychotics. The list of side effects is staggering for all antipsychotics and they cause major weight gain, diabetes, hyperlipidemia, hypertension and there is evidence they even shrink the brain. However the pros often outweigh the cons. People with schizophrenia tend to lack motivation to do even the most basic things such as brush their teeth, shower, etc. They tend to when off their medications struggle not to respond to the voices they hear and often times cannot tell the difference between what is real and what isn't when it comes to the delusions. Schizophrenia is a heartbreaking disease because it usually comes on right when someone is at the peak of their life, their late teens/early 20s. So often bright young people who just graduated high school and are off to college to get a degree, get a career and start a family are often suddenly stricken by this disease and it completely ruins their life. Without medications they can be a harm to themselves or others and often cannot function at all, hold down a job or focus enough to pass a class. On medications they're practically zombified and still cannot function as the negative symptoms of schizophrenia often make them unable to function and keep a job or go to school. I have a friend who was a stoner that suddenly out of the blue was stricken with schizophrenia and now is in a home for the mentally ill. He personally blames weed for triggering his schizophrenia because he said he smoked one day and had a panic attack and then from then forward began experiencing symptoms of schizophrenia and there is some evidence weed can be a trigger with schizophrenia but so can many things. No one knows exactly what causes it. All we know is that it's a debilitating disease that afflicts people usually in the prime of their life. What this woman in the movie is experiencing would be more defined psychiatrically as psychosis. Psychosis can cause someone to completely lose touch with reality but because a lot of her symptoms are visual hallucinations it would be very rare that she would be diagnosed with schizophrenia though she would still be treated most likely with high doses of antipsychotics and benzodiazepines to get her stable then they'd take her off the benzodiazepine and continue her on a course of high doses of antipsychotics until they were able to find the cause of her psychosis.

Not only do they worsen all the symptoms because what causes schizophrenia is too much serotonin and dopamine in certain parts of the brain and psychedelics stimulate those exact parts of the brain but psychedelics can not only trigger schizophrenia in some people, though it is rare, but someone who has schizophrenia should NEVER take a psychedelic or smoke weed as they can not only worsens the delusions but worsen the hallucinations.. you have to remember, schizophrenic hallucinations are always negative. They are always scary, depressing and negative. Taking a psychedelic will amplify the symptoms of schizophrenia and could even make it permanently worse. All of the studies show schizophrenics should avoid weed and psychedelics at all costs. The last thing you want is a gasoline fire and to pour more gasoline on it. That's essentially what you're doing if you take a psychedelic while having schizophrenia and it could cause a psychotic break where the person loses touch with reality completely. Did you know they can literally mimic schizophrenia in the lab and give some schizophrenia temporarily by injecting them with THC? The higher the dosage the more delusional and paranoid the patient becomes and eventually they experience auditory hallucinations. You can look it up on KZbin. But never give someone with schizophrenia a psychedelic. It could cause them to he a danger to themselves or someone else as they already suffer from delusions and hallucinations so to give them a drug that can cause even healthy individuals to hallucinate and have delusions is flat out dangerous.

I did meet several ppl. in the past who said they did develop schizophrenia after use of other illicit drug use but not just weed. So many more States approving it for recreational use. But then i guess a government entity would prefer to have its ppl. under an influence.
