Yep those chat rants are definitely a mood, I outright quit playing the game earlier this month due to the constant frustration of its state, I remember I could barely play on any of the new maps due to lag bots or whatever they were, and for some reason it was a last straw for me. I straight up skipped scream fortress this year as soon as I heard there was lag bots. Now I don't usually play casual as I like chilling in community servers most of the time, but man every time I would jump in casual I would only see bots, Then community servers became boring and started to frustrate me so I just said "fuck it" then left to play other games. Tf2 is still one of my favorite games of all time, but the lack of content is frustrating and saddening. It hurts to see people leave tf2 behind, but it's so fucking understandable that I've done it too.

I'm gonna hop in and just say it out loud: F*ck the community servers. Everyone's ALWAYS gonna be there about them but personally, I genuinely can't be arsed to listen to ads, have some website address plastered on the screen 24/7, look at the text chat being cluttered with server messages for you to buy premium and/or donate money etc. But most of all, the term "community" turns out to mean "server for a group of friends that tell you to f*ck off," not "for the entirety of TF2 community."

Very accurate comment. Call me a conformist, but personally I have come to terms with the bugs and “mechanics” of tf2 after barely 1.5k hours. I say barely because it takes people more than double that to do the same, and either quit for good or just enjoy it as you can. There’s no denying how much of a sorry state this game is in, but since I came late (2019) I think I’m just not used to real updates or hype.

Please valve, please, update tf2 and replace vac with vacnet. PLEASE. But man, sometimes variety content can be a good thing. If you want to play a more competitive version of casual tf2, say class limits, no random bullet spread, and a few other tweaks, just go and join one of uncle Danes uncletopia servers. They’re like casual servers I’d they were slightly more competitive. But seriously, I hope your variety content is just as good as your tf2 content. Keep doing well man, keep doing well. I totally share your roasting, buddy. Even in the best years, when there were no bots, Halloween was a concentration of the worst sides TF2 can to offer (random crits, glitches, griefers, abusers, broken-ass mechanics etc.) multiplied by 10. For the last 2 years, I have not participated in Halloween TF2 at all, and looking at your video sequence, I understand that was a right desigion. Don't make yourself suffer, for our sake. Protip: when you know your tiny man spell is about to end (the music lets you know), try to jump in the air and keep yourself above the ground away from other objects, I believe it kills you when touching displacements or props to avoid players getting stuck or trying to bug out of the map using it.

I thought I was crazy thinking this playing the game recently before I quit until I saw this video, I wasn't having fun with all the BS the game has. This video encapsulated my thoughts but I'm not sure how I feel about it, on one hand it feels nice that I'm not alone but on the other hand the fact that this is even a path of thought is a big problem. There's no longer a fun "Wacky TF2" feeling in the air from when I played this game over the years, but this more hostile dry tone. I was on the thought train of "A game only dies when no-one plays it anymore" but now that just feels like Copium, or an idle promise that doesn't mean anything. Community servers dont even feel like TF2 anymore due to the settings changes/plugins. I'm glad you're moving on, even watching your newer tf2 vids had an underlying (sometimes not even underlying) resentment to them every once in awhile, but then started becoming more and more ingrained into the videos. I look forward to your next episode made out of passion for a game or for editing, not out of obligation. Godspeed man!
