He wasn't going after Burton's flash, Newsted's attempted flash, or Trujillo's note-for-note copy of Burton's flash. It sounds like he was just trying to play a solid bassline. Sadly, the point of about half of the song is, in fact, flashy basswork. Challenge to Scream, Inc. I want to play bass with you all on this song.

Name any other band who has had such influence not just on the genre but also on other bands themselves. I have never seen so many covers of any other metal band. Whether you think Lars' drumming is mediocre or Kirk's solos lack variety or James's vocals are nothing special.... whatever the reason, they STILL rock to this day. The greatest ever band in my opinion. METALLICA ROCKS \m/

Huh, I actually hear the bass pretty well, could it be louder? Definitely. Other than that aspect, incredible cover and easily the best take on S&M Ktulu I have ever heard. I would love to hear an updated take on this and No Leaf Clover if you're all still together.
