Me to that and screamer. I still have physical copies of both but my laptop won't play them, so I downloaded them of gog and play them through dosbox.

man, this takes me back! Around this time I was also playing Terminal Velocity, Raptor, Descent and Rise of the Triad. Good time! I also remember me and my neighbor playing modem to modem games via IPX. Dam, I feel old now!

Michael Duke They were the days. I played tons of Terminal Velocity. I never even used a mouse for gaming until Quake. Really need to get my old pc back out.

Rediscovering Retro love the Ristar avatar! When I played my buddy at Descent I had the sidewinder joystick and he just played with a keyboard. He killed me every time! So frustrating! I've been wanting to make a killer retro rig. Voodoo card, best soundblaster card, max compatible ram and win98/2000! I heard that with Windows 98 you can't use more than 512MB without having stability issues.

Whiplash aka Fatal Racing was another great racing game from 1995. It's available now on My Abadonware and will run with dosbox.

Good reviews. These games are on sale on GOG today. I'm with you on keyboard controls. I prefer the PC versions of the GTA games, and when I tell people that, they get really confused. For GTAV, I switched to controller, but only because I felt they'd finally nailed the lock-on targeting (first game they got it "right" in my opinion was Red Dead Redemption). But if my controller broke or something, I would've had no issue driving with my keyboard. In fact, I've been replaying San Andreas on PC and it feels great.

+KyoshoLP Thanks man, on the topic of GTA games tho, GTA games on the PS2 helped it really take off with it's popularity that's probably why people are more familiar with console version then it is PC version, everyone i know played their GTA 3 and on on the PS2 and 3, instead of PC

Yeah, I know. And I've talked to people who cannot stand to go back to GTA3, and that's because of the targeting and stuff. That problem doesn't exist on PC, because you control it like any FPS/TPS with the mouse. They hold up really well on PC, no so much on other systems.

A lot of people are unable to understand how I can keep up with them or even beat them big times when they use "the amazing PS4 controller" or "the objectivelly superior stearing wheel" when I use "the fucking clunky keyboard", to that I only can answer... well, I just play better like that, I have better sensations and greater control over my vehicle, I'm a Quake boi so I converted Quake controls into car controls. W: move forward=accelerate A: left strafe=turn left S: move backwards=brakes D: right strafe=turn right Space: jump=hand brakes L control: crouch=gear down L shift: walk un=gear up Y: chat=change camera Enter: use item=nitrous Up arrow: inventory=reset camera Left arrow: previous item=look left Down arrow: flagged item=look back Right arrow: next item=look right

You will understand nothing in Scream 2 without good steering wheel. Screamer Rally is the way better, a big step forward from Screamer 2
