SCREAMING 3 Rotor 20B PP Peugeot 205 Off-Road Buggy Proto in action! WHAT A SOUND

Last year I had the pleasure to enjoy this screaming Buggy Proto while eating my launch during the first day of the Festival of Speed. I realized days later that sound was produced by a 20B rotary engine... I promised myself that I would have filmed it at all costs in case of his presence at the 2018 edition. And so it was!
This car has been built and is driven by Vincen Foucart. It's a 4x4 Off-Road Buggy with the exterior body of a Peugeot 205 (and the front of a 306) powered by a mid-mounted PPRE 3-rotor 20B engine with peripheral port which is able to produce around 430hp. This car used to have some really crazy engines before switching to the current 3-rotor 20B, such as a BMW V12 and a 2.0L V16 engine.
In my opinion this is easily one of the best sounding car I've ever recorded! Hope you liked it!

This is the work of *Vincent* Foucart. His cars have had all sorts of engines in over the years, from destroked BMW engines, all the way up to his own W12 and V16 creations using parts of motorcycle engines! Incredible. Good to see some exposure for Rallye Tout Terrain, also.

This very car has had a 2 liter V16 in it. Four destroyed 600cc bike engines out together. It sounds absolutely out of this world. Search "peugot 205 v16" and you'll find it.

Porting can change the sound a lot, Peripheral Port scream like crazy. This 20b is definitely Peripheral Ported.

My buddies parents had a Subaru Outback with reverse in the transmission gone so it became a field car for us, what the pro drivers can do in a rally car is amazing we either couldn't slide it or spun out and stalled it lol. Bucket list to go for a ride in a pro rally car!

Rice Box depends on how the rotors are arranged. You can do a double two-rotor (some Japanese tuners do it like this) or a "true" 4-rotor, difference is the ignition spacing.

But you can phase the double two rotor overall the same as a true 4 rotor, surely? As far as I understand, each two-rotor is balanced within itself, so that shouldn't be an issue. Perhaps there might be problems with torsion in the eccentric shaft if you're chasing silly numbers. Anyway, 3 rotors have that 3:2 growl that 3, 6 and 12 cylinder engines generally have. A four rotor sometimes has a nice induction gurgle, whilst the exhaust is typically a full on shriek (mostly given the way they're tuned). Whatever floats your boat.

@@Drunken_Hamster A 5 rotor would really wail, and would of course have a hint of the 5-cylinder warble we're all familiar with (5:4 - a major third, musically) . Allen Millyard has made a few 5-cylinder two strokes that, although typically ring-dingy, do have the 5-cylinder sound. A rotary would instead be typically _brappy_ :D A 2-rotor is already a 180 degree engine, so adding a third to fire at the same time as one of the others (might seem simple to do to an existing 2 rotor instead of finding / engineering a genuine 3-rotor) would just sound like a lumpy 2-rotor.
