The Fornost legion could be interesting in that you can actually get quite high numbers by running lots of 5pt hobbit archers as your 33% bows led by Dunedain. Combined with Cirdan, an Elven shieldwall, and a Killy continent of Knights let by Earnur, I could see this list being surprisingly good at higher points levels

He is exactly where he should be. Also You can still play him with RoTN/Dunedain alone thus making early Rangers armylist ;) But agreed I hoped he would be something more than Halbarad with 1 more will and expert shot (S2 bow, missed opportunity here...). He should definetely get 3 attacks and 3 fates.

Yea man im with you, i was the most excited for Aranarth in a rangers list but damn... If they buff dunedain and rangers to be 2 attacks base then I'm on board to field him in an arnor list but that's praying for next edition so the hype is gone

You missed it, but Aranarths Chieftain rule also makes him 6" banner for RotN and Dunedain. ;) Also in Battle of Fornost there are Rangers of Arnor (can be lead by Aranarth) and RoTN/Dunedain are minor heroes who can lead hobbit archers.

It is 4+ on Arnor Heroes only, they all have 2 wounds and 1 fate anyway. For troops it is still 5+

The Arnor/Angmar PDF should be released day 1 of the new edition so people don't have to wait for the Armies of Middle Earth book (where it should just be reprinted in book form). Which means Wargmar day 1, baby!

Will unnamed wraiths be in angmar now? Because if so I can feel the WK double wraith gully shade list incoming. Also, for the Shadow of Rudur, does it have 2 attacks and Fv3? And as your some absolute top players, what do you think the best low points angmar lists will look like now (600 points or less)

Just the three named ones I believe. The Shadow definitely has 2 Attacks, but I believe will be F3 or 4. Low levels, I definitely think the Witch King legion will be getting some play, especially because of the 25pt saved on the Crown. It’s really tough, because I’d be inclined to still get the orc captain in for heroic march, but I’d lean towards Nazthak and then one of the shadow or shade. Full spam out with a couple wargs and spectres. Otherwise, Wargmar will definitely see low point play, along with the carn dum. Buhrdur’s legion I feel like you want a few more points just to fit himself, a hill troll or two, a captain and perhaps a WWC -Alex
