It’s become very apparent to me that King Diamond is such a fan of Sutch!

Came here because of a Ritchie Blackmore Documentary! I'm totally mesmerized by this guy! Unique stage presence! This dude may be the father of metal! Sure he's the Father of Shock Rock!💯

Yeah i think Alice Cooper was mistaken when he said that Frank Zappa was the original shock rocker.
@cinematicpassages88843 жыл бұрын
@@richardhincemon9423 uhmm sometimes not..it was dificult to sell something like captain beefheart's "trout mask replica" tbh. Anyway..you meant that they ignored Screaming lord's music and stage act to take credict on originality? I believe Alice said this yearsss after the 70's (correct me if i'm wrong, i'm not sure)
@cinematicpassages88843 жыл бұрын
@@richardhincemon9423 nice, you guys are awesome then...but that wasn't the case for most people with good old beef, even when he tried out commercial music, the guy just failed to make it big. Anyway...your thoughts of Alice ignoring Screaming Lord?
@cinematicpassages88843 жыл бұрын
@@richardhincemon9423 yeah i knew that but he really tried out making some money with at least 3 commercial sounding records from what i know.

The Heavy Friends record has been called one of the worst ever made because it came out in 69. If it came out in 1977, it would have went gangbusters in London and New York City.

I saw Lord Sutch in the late 80's/early 90's in a London pub with John Wagstaff, friend and leditor of Format the international record collectors magazine. This time no Stars like Richie Blackmore, Jeff Beck, Jimmy Page, Nicky Hopkins, or Carlo Little in his band, but nevertheless the incredible performance of Sutch blew us away🎉. Afterwards we got together talking long into the night. What a great performer! What an interesting chatacter! What a gentleman! 😊 High time his early fantastic singles from 1961 onwards are rediscovered. There was life and Rock'n'Roll in Britain before the Beatles... Thanks for the memories!

His first 5 or 6 Singles were brilliant!!! His record company unfortunately didn't believe in albums, so you'll have to dig for gold like " Last night I was digging in the cemetery / up sprang a creature wild and hairy" Jeff Beck, Ritchie Blackmore, Jimmy Page, Nicky Hopkins, etc...What a band! Who could ask for more??? Lord Sutch was absolutely mesmerizing before the Beatles🎉

Remembering Screaming Lord Sutch born November 10, 1940. He was an English musician and perennial parliamentary candidate. He was the founder of the Official Monster Raving Loony Party and served as its leader from 1983 to 1999. During the 1960s Screaming Lord Sutch was known for his horror-themed stage show, dressing as Jack the Ripper, pre-dating the shock rock antics of Arthur Brown and Alice Cooper. - en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Screaming_Lord_Sutch

I'm really appreciating these guys and this song but after listening to Halloween music all month I realized this is not the only song about Jack the Ripper that portrays him as a "real gone cat" or something similar. These guys normalized jokey songs about serial killers😅
Where is Blackmore? On Lord Sutch and heavy friends ,I suppose.
