This is a animation based on the excellent Screams in the Darkness action figure adventure by Batmanmarch. It is to me the Cybermen story we should of got for the 6th doctor.
Also a chance to show off the Cybermen models i have made.

My headcanon: Commander Zheng from Spare Parts becomes the Cyber Controller from Tomb/Attack of the Cybermen. It makes sense, given he’s still alive at the end of Spare Parts and giving orders

I've always been more of a David Banks' Cyber-History fan - where the Cyber-Mondasians and the Cyber-Telosians were different species, with the Telosians being an upgrade to the Cyver-Faction (The Invasion) that broke away from early Cyber-Mondasians. Even if this animation doesn't change my head-canon, it's still an impressive effort. Definitely feels like a mini-companion piece to 'Spare Parts'. Kudos!

The Cyber Conversion device looks absolutely ridiculous and laughable - yeah, delicate microsurgery to interface an organic lifeforms complex nervous system to a myriad of prosthetics and cybernetics..... can be successfully completed on a kitchen table with a buzz saw and a fireplace poker. :)

Wonderful animation and I love the voice acting! Does The CyberPlanner actually control the Cyber race in the shadows? It appears to be rather metaphysical in existence. While The CyberController is the physical Boss for the physical realm.

CyberPlanners had a physical form in their early (and only two) appearances in the Classic DW, One having a deformed looking bulb with tubes and a frame bearing the side handles of the Cybermen (Wheel in Space) and a more otherworldly, computer-like design later on in The Invasion, both had organic material and were former humanoids chosen for this role.

This was actually pretty well done.... except for the ridiculous "conversion sequence". Why oes the new series have such a retardedly stupid depiction of cyber conversion? As if the delicate process of interfacing organise matter - nerve endings, central nervous system, brain interface etc - could be achieved on an old table with a buzz saw and power tools?!?!?! VERY daft. :) You should have the cyber conversion to the more believable idea of classic Who where the victim goes into a coffin like apparatus that then uses lasers etc to perform the delicate microsurgery... or even humans standing in alcoves, like Lytton in Attack Of The Cybermen, that more depicts modules being piece by piece grafted onto the subject whilst chemicals are pumped into the brain etc. Still, not bad overall.
