I'm a general who does some of his own pours, but I've never seen the combo screeds used here in the US. Everyone uses a warped 2x4 and trowel behind it. I'm pouring a garage slab next week and will be doing it this way.

I just started to watch your videos and how you screed the concrete I have not seen just a one person screed and I really like it. They seem to be in several different lengths it seems that over 8 feet long could be tough to handle. Thanks for you videos and keep them coming. Duke Center, Pennsylvania, USA

At my company we use 1 man screeds and they are all 2x4 pieces of wood we attach handles on lol and we do huge hi rise buildings. I still haven't seen a single video where they do that this is the closest I've seen

I've been getting a taxi to and from work cause I lost my license for going 10 Ks over the speed limit three different times. That's why when the customers have been shouting me piss for concreting at their places I can have 10 beers and when I forget how to screed I can just imagine your screening tutorials and I'm screening soberly again!

Tip for screening wet concrete: Flip the screed around, use the blunt end (will cut in less)

We use grade pins all the time on jobs where you've got a lot of other work going on. Strobes from work trucks or heavy equipment get to be a pain in the ass when they're all around you. Most of the work you show seems to be residential so I don't see strobes hitting your laser being a huge problem, but on big industrial jobs you'll never get a reading

Why don’t you float your edges before pull your pad with the screed? Why dose he leave so many wholes in when he screeds? You just clean it up with the bull float? When you pull your pads on the edges dose that dip the edge and leave holes? Also are those screeds good for Commercial industrial concrete ? Do you ever use the form when you use those? Or are you always making pass? Seems like you pull every pad off the form instead of using the form it’s self

So how long does the screed edge last before you have to flip it ?
@concreteninja6 жыл бұрын
SnakeRiverFishing last a really long time depends how much concrete you do but I would say six months sometimes even a year I’ve seen people have the same screed for 10 years depends what you do . But you deathly want The sharp edge 👍
@SnakeRiverFishing6 жыл бұрын
thanks mate great video I am all charged up to go out and work on mine now still doing footings the uphill side had to be jack hammered out of granite I wish you would do a little more blow by blow narration of the processes like just do one real slow for american dummies, what you are looking at as you go ? I can see what you are doing but not fully grasping why
