Cool video. What base colors are best to use? Does the Pantone formula guide specify? I ask because different companies have different color names. Or do we just get as close as possible? Thank you

Where you get the pantone book? I got my scale from atlas screen supply works good. One thing i do i bought a glass cutting board from dg and use 2 putty scrapers to mix. I usually just throw some vinyl transfer tape on the scale the measure the ink.

Can anybody explain to me the reason someone would buy a Pantone book ? I’m confused because you can just look up any color by it’s hex value and find it’s relative Pantone number. Multiple apps will do this for free. I guess it’s just so customers can come in and have a reference?

If you look closer like at minute 8:48 you will see that the pantone guide shows you in grams how much paint you have put from each CMYK colours to get to the targeted colour. Its not photoshop where you just copy paste hex codes.

Use another spatula so that you don't waste any ink by bleed into the cardboard.
