I think a lot of people become intimidated by the price points for getting all the proper equipment for screen printing. It would be cool to see a video for screen printing on a low budget, such as using a heat gun for curing, printing without a press (ik, sus) but ya like just showing people the basics. Could make for a cool video and you could even show us how you started out too! Keep up the content man!

I appreciate this tutorial. I've been thinking about moving to screen printing for our college apparel business and taking it in house. We are currently using a DTG POD vendor, but I think we could do better. A couple questions for you: - Could you do a tutorial on creating the individual color layer files in Illustrator? - You use the flash dryer in between colors to get a little cure. But, the conveyors are really expensive for anyone starting out. Could you use a heat press at the end (after all layers are on the tee) to do the final cure?

Great video!! I've been waiting for someone on KZbin to explain the Screen #s, ink (for cotton, polyester) and what shirt/hoodie they print on (100% cotton, 50/50, 60/40). Did you spray the entire screen with the silicone?? I need to try that, because my multi-colors sticks sometimes.
@baavproductions2 жыл бұрын
Thank you! and yeah there is a bunch of factors that go into choosing the screen count. The most simple way to look at it is, the higher the detail on your design the higher the mesh count you want and the over the details the lower mesh count you need!. Not the whole screen with silicone spray but the area the prints will come in contact. Definitely give it a shot because it will help get your inks to not stick onto the screen!

@@baavproductions i appreciate your advice bro, always watch your videos. Then I’m going to use 20x24 frames, I just thought they would be too big for 16x16 platters and I wanted to have the contact of the aluminum frame against the platten instead of only letting the mesh screen to be in contact with the platten.
@baavproductions Жыл бұрын
All screens need at least 1-2 inches of extra mesh on the edges of the design So a 20x24 screen would be perfect for a 16x16 print area which is basically what I had in this video You can still have the top frame of the screen hit the platen as well you just have to adjust your platen location
