You can use the stencil multiple times. After the first print, the stencil will stick to the bottom of the screen because of the ink. The material of used to make the stencil will determine how many prints you can get with one stencil. A basic paper stencil will only last a few prints. One made of butcher paper will last for 5-10 prints. A stencil made from acetate will last for many prints.

We have not done any testing regarding mixing our inks with Calcimine. We're sorry we can’t offer you a proven recommendation.

using the stencil method is great for the elementary classroom. it's a great introduction to printmaking without some of the more advanced steps needed with photo emulsion! We have a lesson plan on our site that would be perfect for younger students using this method

Thanks for video. What white ink you used in video? I use speedball everything and find have to do multiple coats of white. Yours came out really good the first time.

This is the Speedball white fabric screen printing ink, there is also a Speedball white acrylic screen printing ink, so please ensure you are using the correct ink for the surface you are printing on. Thank you!

@@speedball_art Thanks. I was using the fabric ink, but my fabric was dark gray 100% cotton so I am sure that has something to do with it. I appreciate your reply though.

Why use a screen?
@speedball_art Жыл бұрын
The mesh in the screen helps create an even layer of ink for the image, and screen printing can help print multiples of the same image
