Baylan’s plan is to use the World Between Worlds to alter the Star Wars Canon, creating a new, alternate timeline where the sequel trilogy never takes place, which will become the new main branch of Star Wars moving forward. Why? I believe that Baylan can sense Poe Dameron saying “Somehow, Palpatine returned” in the future through the force, and it’s driven him so mad that he needs that future to be erased.

Goofy tinfoil hat theory incoming: What if, while Morgan was communing with the Great Mothers to plot with Thrawn, Ezra has been communing with Baylan? He didn't seem to want to kill Ahsoka, and definitely didn't want Sabine dead. Could be because he was trying to help and not blow his cover. He could have expected, or at least hoped, Ahsoka survived falling I to the water. If Sabine destroys the map though, no one will be going to Peridia. My original theory was that he has been reading everyone's minds to manipulate them, in particular that scene where he convinces Sabine to come with him. Before he shuts off his lightsaber, he closes his eyes and appears to use the force for something. I thought he had read her thoughts about why she wanted the map and used the info he gleaned from her to convince her to hand it over. What if instead, he was actually reaching out to Ezra and was given information that helped him talk her into it. How he would even know of Baylan, or use the force like that, who knows...but it feels good, for me at least, to actually enjoy thinking about SW again for the first time since TFA came out.

The whole series is dripping in Norse mythology: Thrawn's new "ship of the dead" fits the theme as well. If the World Between Worlds is Yggdrasil and Peridea is the underworld of Neiflheim, then the great dragon of Peridea would be Nidhogg, a being that eats away at the structure of the universe itself.

Baylan says he's looking for "the beginning". The beginning was The Whills. It's likely he heard about them as "stories and fairy tales" as a kid in the Jedi Temple. I think the Whills are somehow on or tied to that planet. I also think the Night Sisters are possibly an expelled sect of The Whills. Sort of like they are what the Sith are to the Jedi.

Worth noting, unless others already have, that the desire to end the seemingly endless cycle of light (Jedi) then dark (Empire), then light then dark, is metaphorically on brand for Norse Skoll and Hati who chase the sun and moon. They are trying to break the day/night cycle and eventually do: swallowing both the Celestial bodies--at the start of Ragnarok.

I keep being stumped by all the channels that usually do such a good job of catching all the details and pointing at the likely direction they seem to be taking the story, missing what seems so obvious to me. Then at the very end, you finally get there. Baylan finding a portal to TWBW would give him immeasurable power, at least in his mind the power to correct the past and fix the present. There was a portal on Lothal, near the temple henge. Ahsoka fell into it. There is a similar henge on Peridia and presumably a portal there too. This is the one Baylan knows of, from the old stories. I think there's a connection between these portals, or tears, and the Purgil migration routes. It may have something to do with their ability to travel through hyperspace they way they do.

My theory is he is going to find Abeloth the Mother. She started out as a servant of the Mortis gods, then became The Mother. But she was a mortal and grew old, so as a way to not die she drank from the font of power and bathed in the pool of knowledge. It did make her immortal but it also corrupted her. Once the father found about about this he took the son and daughter and abandoned her on that planet. This planet could be the planet that the Mortis gods started out on and abandoned Abeloth on. Abeloth could also be the one that the night sisters fear so much and want to get away from.

I think it would be cool if the mother was locked in another galaxy on a planet guarded by the ancestors of the night sisters. This would give credence to the naming of the Great Mothers as well as the seemingly different kind of force magic used by the night sisters. Bringing in the yuuzhan vong would be too complicated since they would need to be not only defeated but relatively forgotten by the time of the sequels since there was no mention of them. A singular being attacking the galaxy on their own would be a decent threat to the galaxy as a whole while being relatively small enough on a galactic scale that most people wouldn’t have heard of the events.

Baylon is searching for TWBW. He and Shin arrive there with Ahsoka and Ezra on their tails. Just as in Rebels, you can hear voices from the PT, OT, and ST. Between the four of them battling while in TWBW, a timeline gets altered the way Ahsoka's did when Ezra pulled her out, and the voice of Kylo Ren fades away and is replaced with that of Darth Caedus instead. Everything on this planet just screams Zeffos (giant statues, the helmets of the scoundrels, Nightsisters metal balls etc.). So the Zeffos could have been "disappeared" by just one of them (Abeloth/Niddhog) eating away everything through the force: the Zeffos, the Nightsisters, the Purgils...

A random thing I noticed was that some of the night troopers are kinda twitching & it made me think that Abeloth could be remotely sucking the life out of them but also gave me some zombie/Frankenstein vibes. I just want to throw a theory: The animation in the credits ends with 7 lines coming to the last place. These are "the 7" to pull of the last stand. The ultimate fight. And Thrawn and the Nightsisters are not part of it. This is my list: - Asoka - Huyang - Ezra - Sabine - Baylan - Shin - Anakin And they have to fight of the big force, which makes Thrawn and the sisters run.

Baelin seeking Wb/wW makes most sense I think. If Thrawn gets back to the main galaxy without Ahsoka/Sabine/Ezra hitchhiking back on his ship, Wb/wW is the only way they get home. Their quest and Baelin’s would then necessarily lead them both to the same place - especially because Thrawn made it clear he hopes all the force wielders on Pereidia that aren’t witches die/get left behind once they’re done loading the ship. Forces a final showdown between Baelin and Ahsoka to give the homie the send off he deserves

Until proven otherwise, in my headcanon Darth Plagueis did a partial essence transfer into a Gungan outcast. Losing much of his power and stuck in a body with a low Midichlorian count, Plagueis decided to no longer strive to be the master but still support the grand sith plan as Darth Jar-Jar 😅

I think Balen has been training Shin to be the body of Abaloth. I think she will become possessed by this unimaginable power. And this will be the big bad of star wars in the next few stories. He has been very cryptic with her, and I believe she may resist...and maybe Sabine will take her place. Ezra has no goal but to go home. Maybe he has lost all his power hiding for so long in the wilderness. Ahsoka is a fun ride. Love this new direction in great story telling.

Soooooo it should be noted that we follow a singular line to get to Peridea, BUT there are a lot of lines that arrive at Peridea right before the title sequence ends. So Peridea could be where a lot of species go to die - like the Space Dragons.

Love your content! Great Space Dragon Theory and I would love to see that. However, I think it's all going to lead to Abeloth. I think what's calling to Baylon is Abeloth which has now become more powerful that "the Ones" or the Mortis Gods died during the Clone Wars. I also believe Anakin which has now kinda become "the father" knows that Ahsoka will confront her, which is the reason behind the training in Episode 5. Anyway, I think Baylon will bring shin to Abeloth as a vessel in order to free her. Abeloth will then instant kill Baylon. Then all hell will break loose on Peridia!

It's entirely plausible that Baylan Skoll is referring to Ezra Bridger but as he's just a padawan who'd never gotten formal training nor even had a master long enough to finish his training, I strongly doubt that. And he could be referring to the World Between Worlds but he directly referred to a being that he's being drawn to so that's not likely. I, too, think that he's referring to an actually being whether that's a bendu (doubtful) or, more likely, another force-sensitive creature in the same category as the bendu, loth wolves and purgill. I'm thinking of something more along the lines of the zilo beast. But it might come down to the fact that he needs Ezra's kinship with animals that allowed him to employ the purgill to banish Thrawn to another galaxy to begin with. He might even be intending to kidnap Sabine and threaten her to coerce Ezra to help or even kill her to push Ezra toward the dark side. This might explain why it appears that it's Sabine's helmet in the opening intro the is shown as red. Maybe he kills her and Ezra dons her helmet out of sorrow. And then it would be up to Ahsoka and her recently-found connection to the light side to draw him back from the darkness. Or maybe this means that Ezra will be the one who takes on the mantle of the Brother as I believe that Ahsoka will take on the mantle of the Sister and Anakin as the Father. I just don't believe that it will be Sabine who turns to the dark side. It could possibly be the Whills as you mention but they were on the Sith planet that Yoda visited which wasn't in the next galaxy over.

A constant critique of this show is not understanding because they didn’t watch rebels. My constant critique is people making this complaint week after week but being to lazy to just go and at least watch a recap of rebels or the clone wars! There’s tons of recap videos on KZbin, you could get caught up on the history in less time than it takes to write one of these complaining about not knowing the backstory. It’s so frustrating hearing this is the main complaint about this show.

Myothsaur is the space dragon. they "vanished" from mandalore during trouble via hyperspace and hid. Now that trouble is over they went back to mandalore. i believe mandalore is on the star map during credits.

I would love for them to change the sequels, but more likely if he does go back in time, he will probably be left or was always supposed to die in the past. It would be awesome if he was kicked into a place to have to fight vader.
