Spider-Man 3 is absolute perfection. It's the movie that evokes every single emotion from me. It has everything. The writing, the action, the comedy, the horror, the messages, the marketing, the merchandise, the toys, the world as this film came out, everything about this film. It's my favorite movie of all time, and nobody can convince me otherwise. I love the holy trilogy as a whole, but Spider-Man 3 really needs people like us. It was never a bad or even mediocre movie, just seriously misunderstood. I can write about my love for Spider-Man 3 for days and days. It's been 6,111 days since it came out, and there hasn't been a single day where I haven't even thought about it. I even have my opening day ticket. This movie is my everything.

I remember when I took my then 10 year old son to see this in the theater I was rather amazed at what a good movie it was. When we came home my wife asked how the movie was. I told her it was a powerful movie about redemption and forgiveness. She laughed, but my son said, "No mom, it really was."

It’s so cool to see an austrian product on your channel! And I absolutely loved SM3 back then when I was only about 12 years old. And still it’s one of my favorite Spidey-Movies, and this was the first Eddie Brock I‘ve 'met' so I was totally happy with him, I like the idea of Peter and Eddie mirroring each other.

Right off the bat: a movie with hidden meanings does NOT make it great. We’ll see how I feel after I watch the video, but I don’t know how you can convince me that the movie is great. Mind you, I’ve seen it 20+ times with my son.

I hadn't ever seen this Spiderman so I didn't know the deal with Flint being Ben's real killer. If that's the case why doesn't it come up in No Way Home? He tells Peter 1 that he wanted his uncle's killer dead and he got what he wanted, alluding to the original criminal that died. I'm confused...

Enjoying this series, but this was a better case than Quantummania. The film I think is great but my family hates is Highlander - if you want to get really old school. Sticking to superheroes, it would be interesting to tackle Thor 2 or Ang Lee's Hulk.

That's some serious logic gymnastics. The issues with the movie are not the overall plot points, it's the dialog, character design, out of character moments to serve bad subplots, etc. Anyone can justify larger plot points as being good, since that's usually what's good at the beginning of making a movie anyway.

Spider-Man 3 truly is the best. I’ve always known this. In terms of where you take the story that feels natural & real & satisfying, this is what it looks like. Venom is only in it for a few minutes? Who cares. Peter has an arc, Edward Brock has an arc, it all fits. Too many villains? They all support the main theme of forgiveness. If you stop looking at it like a super hero movie & judge it as just a movie, you’ll see that it’s a solid & satisfying movie. I could go on but I digress.

Despite how people feel about Spider-Man 3, this is still one of my favorite spider man films. Loved this movie as kid. More than Spider-Man 2 even though that movie is perfect. I even had the video game and the final battle scene toy set. Seeing a black suited spider man as a 7 year old had me jumping for joy. So many iconic moments from this movie that has aged like fine wine🔥 Thank you for shining light on this great film🖤

I think the scene where Harry uses the gas , combined with his saving Peter showed that Norman was always evil. In the first movie he (Norman) used it out of greed and a lust for power. Revenge is a more understandable and normal motive and Harry let it go while still powered by the Goblin Gas. In “No Way Home” the movie (and Norman) made it seem as though curing Norman would make him a good man again but he never was. I believe he would return to his universe and immediately try to become the Goblin again. Scritch your best friend for me.

I'm in the campy that really enjoyed Spider-Man 3. My only complain would be drop Goblin 2, and have Sandman switch sides and have him help Peter beat Venom. I thought for sure there was going to be a moment at the end, when Sandman would be pounding on Spider-Man, but then sees his daughter in the crowd watching him. As for Venom/Peter- you weren't suppose to like him! So yeah, all those scenes were great!

I will die on the hill that Spider-Man 3 is a top 3 Spider-Man movie ever made and is one of the most over-criticized films ever made. Similar to BVS (tho better), I’d say the theatrical version was good w flaws, but the director’s cut is what truly makes the film amazing.

All these biblical references and breakdowns now makes Spider-Man 3 make sense but it’s how the movie runs, where it’s just connivence for the plot, that is where the dislike comes from. A meteorite crashing to earth may symbolize a cool shooting star from a biblical reference, but it’s also incredibly convenient how it latches to the scooter of the person who just happens to be the only person with superpowers. Additionally in Spider-Man 1 Norman Osborn becomes pressured by the possibility of Oscorp having critical funds pulled that he administers the super enhancer drug on himself and it turns him into the green goblin. In Spider-Man 2 Dr. Otto Octavious uses the mechanical arms to assist him in creating something that would benefit humanity beyond measure but something goes wrong during the experiment and the arms take control of his brain and he becomes Doc Oc. Both of these are interesting and believeable character building moments that make the respective villains morally complex with some redeeming qualities. In Spider-Man 3 Flint Marco is randomly on the run from police in a scene and falls into a supercollider. This is not believable and is far less interesting. Kinda reminds you of an another character that falls for an incredibly simple reason into something sciency-looking where he gets his powers, from another poorly received Spider-Man movie. Some would call that movie ‘amazing’. Spider-Man 3 just has scenes that happen for the sake of the plot progressing which is something that the first two movies didn’t struggle with. This was a great video and I didn’t know/never noticed most of the cool things that were pointed out but Spider-Man 3 really just still is a mess of a movie.

Awesome breakdown. I really appreciate your views and opinions.Unlike some that create a fake anger over movies (when was the last time the guy at Nerdstal... said anything good about a superhero movie, or either of the 2 main Star movie universes?), your videos are well thought out and I believe that you're saying what you believe regardless of how many likes or views it may or may not get. You put in the work and I commend you for that. Now......please do the same for Iron Fist.....just kidding, but seriously while the back and forth writing on that series makes no sense I do think ghe lead actor did a lot considering what he wsd working with. Also, when Iron Fist had better material like in the Luke Cage crossover I think it was among the best that Marvel stret level has done.

I understand how rich this movie is in symbolism. But with them greenlighting Venom’s look and Eddie’s rushed execution, I will never grant this as being good. If they skipped Venom, made the Symbiote Red, and did Carnage instead, I could take this as its own thing. But this was a terrible Venom (My favorite Spider-Man character other than Spider-Man) and I will not forgive Raimi or Sony for it.

Green Lantern, putting aside its CGI, it was a good movie. It had a good cast. The story wasn’t bad. By having Hal use his powers in a more light hearted way, it was Reynolds. It set up for a contrast with other Lanterns to come. They using their powers in a different way maybe even a darker way, where Hal could show that light hearted ways of handling situations has its place and can bring hope. Not every movie needs to be gritty and overly serious, just being fun can be enough. I know it’s a low bar but compared to some of the JLA movies that followed it was better.
