Look at the titles: #1, Homecoming. Spider-man is coming home to the M.C.U. #2. Far From Home - Not so fast, Marvel/Disney. #3 No Way Home - a plot that puts Spidey and Peter Parker 'outside' of the M.C.U. for all practical purposes, as no-one remembers him or knows who he is. I will go see a good movie. I will NOT go see movies that end up being a pissing war over intellectual property played out in the script and on the screen. Eff Sony. Since flat screen TVs took away their Trinitron cash cow, they've done nothing.

If you watch the end of Far From Home, you can see that a hologram was shot. All that happened to Mysterio was that his gun was grabbed by Spider-Man. I was surprised that any viewers thought Mysterio was dead, but Lost explained, in the final episode, what was going on and a lot of people completely misunderstood it.

Pay careful attention to the questions Peter asks about Beck. "EDITH, is this real." "Yes, Peter, all illusions are down." Peter never specifies what he's really asking (is Mysterio dead), and EDITH being a computer answers what was asked, never specifying if Mysterio is dead or not. And as Ryan points out, he did this earlier in the movie as well. He was a con-man before the tech and still is after. Just a bit of basic acting.

Why not just import a Mysterio from a different universe? You don't need to resurrect the version from Far From Home to bring him into the Multiverse saga. In fact - you could have him be Mysterio from Worst Wolverine's timeline, who made Wolverine kill the X-Men - that way you get a great redemption arc for Logan as well as closing the loop for Spider-Man in Secret Wars.

Mysterio is really smart. He should be back for next SPider-Man trilogy. He isn't dead imo. He should be playing from the shadows. Nobody knows he's alive but he is working for Kingpin and uses his tricks to manipulate Spider-Man again without any physical contact. Imagine he learns from the news Green Goblin killed Spider-Man's aunt and recreates a green goblin illusion to pushed him into a bigger trap - Sinister Six which is waiting to kick his ass.

If it's any consolation, Mysterio was supposed to appear as a variant in Spider-Man No Way Home as the sixth member of the Sinister Six. There's a piece of concept art that shows him fighting Doctor Strange in the air at the Statue Of Liberty . There's even a report that the Mysterio variant would've won his version of Far Frome Home, but since he still would've known who Peter Parker was, that's how he would've ended up in the film. He also would've been the one to kill May Parker which actually makes more narrative sense since he's the reason why Peter's life is still ruined. Norman killing her just makes more lore sense since he already tried it in 2002.

I would like to see him come back and I do agree he could integral in tearing down the Avengers and building up the Dark Avengers, but much like how Norman Osborn was the founder of the Dark Avengers as the Iron Patriot and alongside him was Mac Gargan/Scorpion-Venom I doubt unless Disney gets the rights to Spider-man back, that we will ever see them used in such capacity. Sony's typical format with villains is "one and done" They killed Green Goblin in the first Tobey Spider-man. They killed Dr. Octopus in his first debut in Tobey's Spider-man 2. They killed Eddie Brock/Venom in his first debut in Tobey's Spider-man 3. They did seem to change it up for Amazing Spider-man but then when they started doing Venom they went back to the one and done format, killing Riot in the first film and Carnage and Shriek in the 2nd film. Vulture, Tinkerer, Shocker and Mac Gargan all survived in Disney's first Spider-man: Homecoming, but then Sony shifted the Vulture into the failed universe of Morbius which implies he's one and done too. IDK... I just wish Fiege could get and keep full creative control over Spider-man and all related characters to use in the MCU. I mean is there nothing Disney can barter with..? Give Sony Predator, Aliens, Terminator, Avatar, Simpsons... just please give us Spider-man to be used to his full potential in the MCU!

What you’re suggesting sounds incredible, but SONY doesn’t want too much MARVEL in THEIR movies. Spider-Man loaned to Infinty-War? Sure! But Mysterio loaned to take on the Avengers for an entire saga? Too much IP loss. If only MARVEL had control over ALL of their IP.

Why couldn't they use the Mysterio/Wolverine storyline in Deadpool and Wolverine? It could have been a clearer backstory for him being the worst Wolverine.

Marvel should have 'killed' Ant-Man in Quantumania, or at least stranded him and Wasp in the quantum realm and made everyone think they were dead. I love the ideas in this video, too.
