love your videos! Also think its cool that you print Hold Fasts shirts. Tony does our tattoos. I hobby print and my set up uses pins. When I do multi colored prints I always print a blank positive with only the tick marks on it. I then tape that to my exposure unit and then tape each film to it. They always end up perfectly registered because the screens are always placed in the same spot with the pins. Just have to make sure its placed square and centered. Thanks for sharing your tips!

Hi thank you for taking time out to do these videos... I am very new to screen printing so this helps a lot...I have a few questions hope you don't mind me asking you... how do you make your stencil large enough for tee shirts.... and what is the correct positions for the stencil...example measurement from the neck to the actual position of stencil or armpit measurements etc...hope you know what I mean how do you measure your positioning..... I have watched you screenprint.... you flood your screen with ink first then you squeegee.... you pull it towards you then push away from you... I have also seen people just pull toward themselves a few times....which is the correct way to squeegee....pull and push...or just pull toward yourself....I find that confusing LOL!!!....sorry for all the questions....hope you understand them and can advise me... very much appreciated thank you in advance :) keep doing the tutorials they are very informative and helpful :) have a great day :) Magz :)
@CatspitProductions10 жыл бұрын
Thank you very much! I appreciate your support. The stencil is made to size by printing out the film positives the size you want to print. That is part of the screen making process. Print positioning varies by printer and there is no set rule. There is no correct way to flood and stroke really. That is a matter of preference and performance. I have a video explaining why I do it the way I do. Screen printing is first an equation but secondly a skill and art form. So there are a lot of variances as to what will work for each individual. Yeah you might cut down on the "words". Maybe pre-edited some videos. So that when you start giving direction or references, or self preferences. There would be a demo showing what you are talking about. Personally, I think you need to figure out you cam angles, and lack of smoothness in your instruction. Sho small vid within your vid to show, while you are sharing your info. I hang in there, because you do have good info for us Garage Rats, lol. Instead of saying Ghetto. Say something like "This is the Cat$pit way." or "This is how we do it at Cat$pit." Or, " These's some Cat$pit for ya." and don't over use these either. lol.

Well if I had more customers on my ecommerce site I might have more time and money to invest into the videos... lol ;) I teach from experience and I do not script videos. In fact that is the reason my videos are so popular I believe. People have told me they love the casual style and detail I put into them. Even the production quality is decent enough and they appreciate that too. Also remember I may reference other things when teaching one thing. But we cannot side track and/or re-explain everything for the sake of the single video. Much of what I might reference I have already done videos on. And some videos will assume a certain viewer level of familiarity with the topic. I'm glad you can still learn through them though because after all that is the purpose of them. Thanks for watching! @@angban9661 No problem. I listen to everyone's suggestions and I try to implement as much as I can. Yeah some of my videos will have a lot of editing with demos and others might just be me talking about stuff. Either way, if you take the time to watch and listen to the entire video, you can get a lot out of them. I'm working on a new project that will make the current KZbin videos more powerful and I am hoping to make new and improved videos for that project in the near future.

I am very sorry, but there is a much easier way to align screen than demonstrated. I love watching Catspit Production and demonstrations, but from my experience you don't need to measure or spend as must time aligning 2, 3,4,5 or 6 screens. Love you work my friend but there is a better way to do this task....
@CatspitProductions8 жыл бұрын
There is no need to apologize. Everyone has their own preferred method. And there are jigs for this purpose but these are methods that don't require any expensive tools. But you can make your own jig system too so there are many ways to do this. Also, if the artwork registration is critical, then doing the measuring will help out a lot on press. The closer the films are to the same spot on every screen, makes it easier to work with and prevents one screen from being too far out of alignment. Maybe you could make a video for us and show us your method. When are you going to subscribe to my channel? ;) Thanks for watching. LOL... Seinfeld was good stuff. I can still watch them and laugh. You gave me a good chuckle there. Don’t be an anti-print-tite... :) I mean that in a good way. I remember one of the first shirts my brother printed for me when I was around 13. It was a black and white baseball jersey with black line drawings of dragons on the front and back. That shirt was my favorite for 10 or 15 years and I was still wearing it when it had holes in the fabric but the print was still like new. Well I eventually retired the shirt and I kept it for another 10 years without wearing it. But eventually I let it go and the only good use for it at that point was to clean my car...LOL. That is the new guitar riff intro ;) Thanks for watching and leaving a comment!
