I always suspected something fake about! The girls wear all the popular bracelets n necklaces! They were just too much up to par with the real world, to be living in the wilderness! But i never missed an episode! Still loved the family! The saddest day was when Billy died!

This show was amazing regardless of whatever. Furthermore even camping for a few weeks or months in Alaskan bush country is no joke whatsoever! The Grizzlies for one are not kind neighbors. It’s dangerous merely from the cold. But you add the other issues and it’s still a massive challenge for that entire team. And they actually are a family in any case. It doesn’t matter if they weren’t living in the bush for thirty straight years without cease. And I would argue that despite all this that family does have a great connection to that land. That was apparent the entire time. They knew the place! So what the hell ever! I was sorry to hear when Billy died. And I hope the man can rest in peace as they say. All people are my Family. Don’t mess with them! Especially when they are just trying to live! It’s not easy being a far off “celebrity” by any means whatsoever. So… Please do give them a break. Also those charges should never have been filed against them! They just wanted to be free. That’s all. And the world keeps trying to hem them in. It’s wrong. Leave them alone! Hatred be *DAMNED.*

Like most guilty pleasure shows of its kind, especially on TLC, of course they played it up and scripted the charm outta what the original pitch even entailed (what won them the audience,sadly) and it got progressively worse as seasons passed (all shows go that way). But, it had charm, the family with all their quirkiness and troubles, they’re a real family, and I rather appreciated the more wholesome aspects and lessons that their parents wanted to impart, even if things never fully worked out for anyone as intended. This all began because the second eldest son was a very ambitious and clever KZbinr, if I recall. The fact they achieved the limited run of success they had from his efforts and their willingness to let the world into their lives, that’s fascinating if nothing else, right? I kinda view their show in the same light as the Oak Island series, ya know… we don’t have a lot of whimsical, imagination and adventure inspiring shows that really capture and, or continue, the spirit of exploration quite like these have. There are huge (lame) competition shows, there are documentaries, sure, but to me, these were guilty pleasure shows which tried to reignite something of an Americana frontier adventurer revival. I wish there were relatable and full time bush people that we could tune into but where there are, they don’t want to be part of our entertainment and, besides, they kinda are a dyin breed. This was a near close glimpse at the Swiss family Robinson of today’s world as we might ever get. It wasn’t awful all the time and they certainly shouldn’t be despised for following a script or maintaining a contract, when there are so many other and far worse shows and people on stream/tv out there; and all they did was provide quirky, wholesome and maybe with their corporate crew, a bit nuisance-y to neighbors, entertainment for a very short while.

😂 Oh hush... Enjoy the show for whatever it is. It's entertaining and quite special in its own way. I think the oldest boy was so unique, and you couldn't help but love him. He had a nickname his dad gave him but I can't remember what it was.... bubble head or something. Anyway, I wonder now if maybe he is on the spectrum. So funny, so imaginative and friendly in his odd but enjoyable sort of way. Watch the show. Each one is unique in the family. Worth the (binge) watch for sure!

It wasn’t all fake they made great memories together as a large family and got married and had Children and saved some money 💴 Billy was the back bone 🍖 of the Clan then motherer after Billy passed. They all fell apart from the father’s loss which makes plenty of sense. I hope they all make it ok in Washington State now and they can fit in to a new life together or apart I only wish them all the very best in there new beginning 😊😅❤🎉

No, the Babb Road fire in Washington in 2020 was not arson, but was instead caused by a tree branch falling on a power line. The fire was considered human-caused because Avista, the company responsible for maintaining the trees, did not do so. Their land in WA was private property. The land in AK was government owned.
