This is and was not or ever a "Signal" song. I wrote it with Danny Jacob. End of story. This is a four track cassette demo we made of it in his spare bedroom the day we wrote it. I'm sorry I let it get out to the public now looking back!

I'm so glad there's wonderful people who share these gems on KZbin. Ofc, I'm glad you made them in the fist place too :). Thank you both from the bottom of my heart ❤️

Too bad Signal was let down by their record label EMI. There are so many of us people, and their fans, especially in Europe where they seems to stay on the charts, we should all sign a petition for EMI to re-release this album but do it the right way this time.

If this is a signal demo, as much as it's a good song - I can't imagine it on the album...? I don't know if that is because the album is IMO perfect as it is, but this just doesn't fit?

Hi Ben, As I said it was never a Signal demo. It was just a song that Danny had music for when he and I first met while in Signal that I wrote the melody and lyrics to. Once I finished my parts in the creation I went over to his house and we recorded it onto his four track cassette recorder. Years ago I was persuaded to let it be shared even though it was against my better judgment at the time. Mainly because I understand the concept of only getting one chance to make a first impression. However I feel the song is strong enough on its own melodically and lyrically without a big production and has stood the test of time. I believe it gives the true fan a chance to get a glimpse into the artistic vision I had while writing it. It was meant to have innocence and vulnerability that a love relationship gone bad can cause. To give the heart a slight twinge of pain and loss. All while giving hope for reconciliation and thoughts of love forever. Thanks for being there and for being a fan of our music. Love always, Marcie Free xoxoxoxo
