Very helpful video, wondered for the price what they’d be like even though most things I’ve bought from screwfix have always been solid

I know nothing about how to connect this to an existing lighting circuit from the ceiling, but would that be possible? (and an expected use case for the product, not a bodge?) Thanks for the video and unboxing to understand what the contents look like

If your unsure you should contact an electrician.

Got the Sensio version of this and was hoping you might say where (and where not) you can cut the strip. Sensio show a correct and wrong place to cut in some visual instructions they provide but the picture is useless as the pictures do not relate to the tape in real life. Any tips here appreciated

Hi, thanks for watching. I’ve not used Sensio but generally they are all pretty similar. There is usually two small copper oblongs either side of the strip, every three LEDS and it can have a cut mark on it or scissors or something. You cut it here so you can solder to the copper joins if you want. Make sure it is cuttable in the description some aren’t.

Hi dontgese give off a good light im thinking of putting them under a 5m shelf in a bedroom about 5ft high and wandering if these would give enough lights down the wall

They would but I’d probably go dotless cob led strip now

Great vid :) Do you know of anything similar that can be dimmed? Cheers!
@dadskillz Жыл бұрын
Hi, thanks for watching. I think if you want a dimmable cob led you need to visit a specialist electrical wholesaler. I don’t know if your in the uk, but the likes of tlc direct or cef will stock them but they begin to get a bit pricey.

Yeah I’m in the UK - I’ll have a look now. Thanks so much for getting back me, much appreciated 👊🏽

Just wondering if you are going to do a video on where you installed them?
@dadskillz Жыл бұрын
Hi Phil, I’m not but I installed them in a niche in a bathroom and in a bespoke kitchen unit. Cheers for watching 👍

@@dadskillz thanks. They seem like an easy, discreet option.

Hi so you can cut the plug off these and wire them directly to a lighting circuit and operate them using a light switch?
@dadskillz Жыл бұрын
Yes that’s what I’ve done with them when replacing under cabinet lights
@dadskillz Жыл бұрын
I should say for a lighting circuit - fine, but use the socket or a fused spur for connection to a socket circuit.

@@dadskillz that’s great thank you and I assume you can also cut and solder silicone wire to cross any gaps you don’t want to illuminate then re attach the cut part section? Hope this makes sense.
