Hello! Well played. I love this prelude very much, too. Heinrich Neuhaus did a fantastic Job with it (Uploaded here from Heinrich Neuhaus - Thema); If you compare His Interpretation with Gawrilows, you'll notice, how much Neuhaus understood in this music. (Sorry for talking about different interpretations than yours.) Your son did a decent Job, too! Best regards from Germany.

Thank you, I'll check out those recordings! I especially love Neuhaus, so I'm excited to hear he recorded this one. Will also be interesting to see what Gavrilov does with it (knowing him, I wonder if it will be very fast...he sometimes tends to be a speed demon, if I remember correctly). After making this recording with my son, I decided it would sound more maestoso if I slowed it down, aiming for procession speed rather than walk-in-park andante. I did some more study, changed mic positioning, and re-recorded it here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/d5qqfmyaqdN7qK8si=AjBdfFr7RSeaRJSa If you have time, I'd love to hear your thoughts! Greetings from USA.

Haha I love the captions that goes along with your performance, makes it really engaging and interesting to watch! Your 9 y.o. son recorded this session quite artistically! 🤣

Thanks, I’m glad you enjoyed the rambling commentary! :D I plan to do more captions like that in the future…I figure it may help people enjoy the music better if they know what to listen for.

This is really majestic and stately. I'm not familiar with Scriabin's music, so thank you for sharing. Nice performance, and stellar camerawork!!! 😁

Thanks! You’re in for a treat as you discover more of his work. I plan to share more of Scriabin’s easier music in the next month or two. Mostly his earlier music-his later music is a bit more disturbed (interesting maybe but definitely less pleasant). And maybe in a few years I’ll have the chops to finally play Op. 42 No. 5, which might be the most beautiful angry piece ever written. :p

How do you like the videography?😂 Four more lovely Scriabin preludes are here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/o2mTZZSXatinm6c Funny, this video got flagged as being under copyright…apparently Gordon Fergus-Thompson recorded it and his copyright manager company thinks I used his audio (it’s an automatic check). 🤨 I’m contesting, although I’m nonetheless flattered they think my playing matches up to a pro’s, lol.

Indeed very majestic prelude!!! I like Scriabin‘s music a lot, still very romantic, but special ✨ You’re son is doing a great job by filming you 👍🏻😁 especially the Pokémon shot 😂 Subbed to your channel 👍🏻🎶

Very nice playing and great camerawork by your son. I commented on the forum thread just now - check out the analysis I posted by Mackenzie Melemend on this prelude, he has very interesting approach (physically) to the LH octave part.
