Technically, most of the world revere the creative forces that have been declared as God in different ways, whether as a pantheon of entities or as a singular, all-encompassing entity. It could be said that to know the entirety of truth and not settle for what has been told and retold by word of mouth or by obsolete books is the pursuit to know God, which is why I respect Atheists because they don't want to settle for someone else's interpretations or what is said by texts that are thousands of years old, they want to know truth as first-hand witnesses. They will continue to not believe in a god until there is absolute objective truth that such a being exists.
